(translation)

Mechanical heart, where are your batteries?
Lost in a world, totally foreign
What is the reason for all these lies?
We don't have the right to withdraw anymore...

I don't have time to lose my mind
To save us from ourselves
I don't have time to lose my mind
To save us from ourselves

What is this drunkenness that pulls us?
Where do these words that attack me come from?
Incomplete pleasures that bewitch me,
We don't have the right to close our doors anymore...

I don't have time to lose my mind
To save us from ourselves
I don't have time to lose my mind
To save us from ourselves
To save us from ourselves
To save us from ourselves

Yes, there is nothing quite like a live TC concert, especially in an outdoor setting! I saw them at Levitt Pavilion, Denver last July; it was a WOW-kind of performance!

You lucky duck!  I wish I could have been there too!
Excellent!  I never heard this tune before. Due to RP, I like a LOT of their tunes!  That is why we come here.  Thanx RP!

Lyrics are showing as (instrumental) but there's definitely some vocals in this one... Google tells me these are the lyrics:

Love this band, some great music, great moods, mesmerizing at times with great female vocals.

First TC song I ever heard back in the early '00s.  Still a great track.

People say: "There are not stupid questions - only stupid answers!

Mr. Clarke has proven the opposite!

So funny (on various levels)!

Shroomy groovy!

The Corporation is magic - not a single bad song.

Alive and tripping!

Seen, they are waaaaayyyyy groovy!{#Cheers}{#Dancingbanana_2}
I loves Thievery Corp.
{#Bananasplit}
trance/hypno ...with HORNS!!!!    Swaying in my office chair!
Au Tour de Lucie?
Awesome.
{#Cheers}
Points off for the way out-of-tune (sharp) bass line. Irritating!
Hypnotic, exotic.
Nice!!
I wanna see em....bad.

When the focus on music they are very very good....when they turn to politics, they screw up both...
It's hard to know when to buy an album what one will get..
Oh yes.  So smooooov.
very nice after Cowboy Junkies

Moi aussi - every number from TC I've heard on RP has been the epitome of smooth cool, and has a wicked hook that grabs your attention.

I enjoy the jive of most TC tunes, but those damn horns have got to go. Still decent.

Much like your comments. Caught these guys at ACL Fest and they rocked. But this particular song stood out because she was horribly off-pitch for the whole thing. Made my teeth hurt. But on this recording, it's outstanding.

They are from Washington, D.C.
See this band live. Suddenly "downtempo" becomes a tribal thumping party experience with way more energy than that which comes across in the studio recordings. They tour with a full live band—horns, percussion and an incredible bassist, and a revolving list of vocallists. I saw them in Chicago last summer and they stole the show at Lollapalloza.
Good stuff. Are they Americans?
I've had this CD for several years now and I don't care what genre we all try to label it, it is just a solid, well put together CD with songs that mesh and still sound good after all this time. If you are moving too fast to appreciate it, trying slowing down and listen. X serves this purpose well.
Je n'ai pas le temps de perdre la tête I don't have time to lose my head (as in lose my cool / go mad / lose my bearings) Pour nous sauver de nous-même To save us from ourselves

Close — it's Je n'ai pas le temps de perdre mon tête.
This whole album just simmers with great beats, tasty hooks and mesmerizing vocals. These guys are talented . . . and attract some very talented collaborators.

Oooh, Sorry. Alex Trebek sez the correct answer is "What is the opposite of boring?" That will leave you with -400 and you'll have to make up some ground on Double Jeopardy, coming up after these messages. >Jeopardy music - then cut to Swifter commercial....
je nais pas le temp de perdre mon tete!

If i had to pin just one label on it, i'd probably call it "downtempo", which is broad enough to encompass all of the above. :)

I've seen the full band perform (not just the two dj / producers) - they put on an amazing live show.

anyone enjoying this should stop by their club when in DC - Eighteenth Street Lounge

NEVER HEARD SUCH A BORING SONG!
One of my favourite finds of the past few years. These guys have played London a few times (Fabrique in Farringdon) and their albums are, without doubt, a great addition to any late night party (Also check out Fila Brazilla - https://www.23online.co.uk/ for a similar yet 'alternative' sound.)

These guys absolutely stole the show at ACL Fest this year. I watched several people stand slack-jawed at their sound. That said, this was by far the worst tune they performed...the French (or Canadian) woman that sings this uses a vocal track (a la Ashlee Simpson) because she's so tone deaf. It was pitiful. Nonetheless, this recording is truly outstanding, and anyone who has a chance should see TC live, by all means.

I think it sounds like the music you hear while shopping in Lerner or Limited or Express or any of those "chick" stores, to make you feel "tres chic" while trying on the latest fashions.
Someone should upload the "Lebanese Blonde" track. I like that one.
Sexy ;)
It is listenable. I don't think I'd buy it, but good RP filler material. Thanks for the variety. :)
Not genius but I just like it. I can read a book listening to this. I feel like I am on a journey.
Great atmosphere-- a choice track from \"The Mirror Conspiracy.\" Thanks for accepting my upload, Bill! :)
