Was about to PSD then saw it was Eno - an old favorite - so decided to keep listening. When I looked at the comments, I realized I did the same thing not too long ago! Is the third time the charm?

That's because fractals can make for some beautiful music.

An amazing piece of music- the entire album, as a piece, is noteworthy.
Well, I'll go against the herd here and say I like it.
GENIUS!
try it with itunes visualizer

I'm a big Eno fan going all the way back to Roxy. As such I like this. Like it, don't love it.
I could list about 100 Eno tracks I'd prefer to hear and that would likely score higher than the (current) 5.9 this one has rated, but frankly I'm always stoked to hear Eno on any kind of radio, so it's a qualified thumbs up from me.

yup..that pretty much covers it
I haven't heard much of Brian Eno's music, but I sorta liked this one because of the repetition. It's one of those songs that makes really great background noise for a writer or a painter because it doesn't draw the writer's or painter's intellect and passion away from the creative focus. The music just cruises along, innocuous and inspiring without being invasive or particularly profound.
Well, okay, that's just my opinion.

Fellow RP fans, I have to preface my comments by saying that I'm a big Brian Eno fan — I have 5 of his albums, from Ambient 1, through Tuesday Afternoon, and Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks. He is THE foremost creator of the ambient music genre (imho.) I loved his work (in the day) with Roxy Music, and I absolutely bow down to his co-production with Daniel Lanois of some of U2's best work (again imho.) His production work with David Bowie & Talking Heads is also amazingly great.
But I have to say that I just gave "Fractal Zoom" a rating of 3 due to its repetitive (annoyingly so) nature, and lack of any kind of harmony (to my ears, anyway.)
Bill, keep playing more Eno tracks, but it's ok with me if another 3 1/2 years pass before this particular track sees a replay.

I would have bet a dollar that that was david byrne in there but I would have been wrong.

Or "Here come the warm jets" or "Taking tiger mountain by strategy" from his earlier days?
Definitely not Eno's best effort, IMO, but I love the fact that RP plays it!
How about something off "Ambient 4: On Land" just to get the listeners riled up?

boring and repetitive to the point of pain!
Sounds like Vegas feels. sad.
Bobbing head...Dig groove bigtime. But tires on me after a while.
Pretty cool... this reminds me a bit of some stuff Bill Nelson did after Be Bop Deluxe.
ENO!!!!
Intoxicating.
Nice. I've never heard this before.
Sounds like it was made for a cheesy sci-fi film in the 80's.

Wow. 2-1/2 years since the last play. That ain't right.
My Dad bought me this album when I was about 13... talk about over my head.
I didn't appreciate it until college.

Early Eno also rules....Another Green World is an album that demands repeated listening...

Better stick to reading, bub!
I love Eno. Thanks Bill!
Eno was and still is da man.

Finally! Some out and out ENO! I have waited ages to hear some here..
More please! The guy was just so ahead of his times.
Yes. Agreed. As near as I can tell, he was one of THE major influence in the creation of ambient music. (Along with Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream, of course.) Looking forward to hearing more.

And of course for My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, 20 years ahead of Moby and the rest ...
Please, make it stop.
Two giants of modern contemporary music:
Ry Cooder - playing with the Stones in the 60s and Ali Farka Toure as recently as last year ... need I say more?
Brian Eno - Roxy, U2, Bowie - and for being at least 20 years ahead of anyone else for ambient music
This is coooool
Much like a verbose novel without a plot and no character development. Just a lot of background noise.
Oh Yeah!!!!! This 'n rocks! Check out Wire Shock (the next track on the CD) - that's a good one, too!
I LIKE!

My upload. Eno's naive experimentalism didn't really gel, in my opinion, until he learned how to work sampling and sequencing computer programs. Now he sounds like hell on wheels. This is more recent than the other Eno on the playlist, and is quite lively indeed!
Echoing Ali here: this one goes out to Arnie, our own fractalv!
Think of Brian Eno as the Philip Glass of the rock/alternative world!
Great. Brian Eno is really one of my favourites. Please upload more.

Very, uh, Eno-ish.
It is a beautiful Spring Friday afternoon here in DC.
You have no idea how badly this song makes me want to leave work early, burn one, and go check out the cherry blossoms!
Excellent! Haven't heard this in a long while. I'll have to dig it out of a drawer.
I dedicate this song to Arnie.
