Such a crazy night to be awake
and watch the sunrise make daybreak
You are everything and more

Pain in my heart
this bottomless sorrow
this is not for real
this cannot be happening
'cause you are all that I adore

What did you expect little darling
from this life of yours
Didn't anybody tell you
life's just full of whores

And when you leave me
darling
cry your tears
'cause I have loved
and lost a love
today

I told you
you see
it will come
just watch me
and I threw my hands and
my feet in the air
and flew like I've never flown

That's when you appeared
from somewhere
I don't know from where
but thought
this is happening
this is truly happening

What did you expect little
darling
from this life of yours
Didn't anybody tell you
life's so full of whores

And when you leave me darling
cry your tears
'cause I have loved
and lost a love
today

There's no start
there's no beginning
there's no start
is no ending
you sighed and I cried and
I cried

I don't feel very heavy now
I don't feel the weight on my
shoulder
you said
then turned your back on me
and your baby

What did you expect little
darling
from this life of yours
Didn't anybody show you
life's so full of whores

And when you leave me darling
cry your tears
'cause I have loved
and lost a love
today

Something about this reminds me of "Hands Up - I Love You" by Madrugada...

a BEAUTIFUL soul.    Watch her LIVE.

                               Oh nomnol.   You've been hurt.

easy to get lost in that track. Nice melody
very nice voice, she's Swedish

$184.00 for a used CD from Japan-!

That's a bit dear for an unknown artist based on one song.

I prefer to buy the CD vs one MP3 song. I get a better feeling for artist. Often this leads to multiple album purchases.

Not today.   Frustrating

very neat tune (album photo reminds me of the time Uma Thurman was sitting on my lap in the wind tunnel, oh those silly times!)

Yup--- I can taste Goodnight California here  {#Angel}
Very sweet
Watching a good movie in the basement... came up to turn off the computer...then this comes on...  now I'm stuck again..
Reminds of Eric Clapton.
Thanks RP... Link clicked, album bought. Heard this a couple of times and decided I had to have it.
Lots of lovely influences in there, but the tune stands up well on its own. Yay!
It wouldn't be half as good without the stunning guitar accompaniment, but she knows how to complement it.

Oh I know what it is. No, seriously - I figured it out. Swedes mix something into their tap water that produces awesome female singer/songwriters.

Seems to be true.
'Addict' from the same album is also a great tune....
Definitely hearing the Kath Edwards! Like it lots!

Punctuate! Go on! You can do it!

Listened whole that album all day, as Aimee music, yes. Very good. Thanx for RP for discover new name for me {#Hug}

Very nice. Mark 9.

Love the voice.  Hate the pop-arrangement annoying violins.

This is truly the way Dido wishes she could be. No knock against Dido, but she's a one trick pony. Ebba is extremely versatile vocally.

Correct!

An eight, if only for the guitar tone, more with the vocals....
Sweden rules!
I just love this song.
It was released 10 years ahead of the curve.
Thanks Bill & Co. for your incredible, maybe incurable selections.

Nice!

I was thinking Adele

I heard Madrugada as well, nice sound.......
I think I feel a coma coming on
funny that i should be discovering swedish artists through RP
Her best track. Check out samples before committing your hard earned cash on full album.

Beautiful!

Bird York + Heather Nova?
this could be a Madrugada song, love it
Nice!
...one of Bill's lovely girls!
SWEET!
At first a seven, but, the more I listen, it HAS to be an eight.... stay tuned... yeah I get the Madrugada references and the Ani DiFranco comparisons.... nice... want more...

8 -> 9

btw been listening to some of her other stuff, sounds like Dido but a bit more raw.

You're exactly as crazy as me. That's what I thought too - I was convinced at first that this was a cover of a Madruga song.

Anybody listen to more of this album? Is there any more good music on it besides this song?
Hmmm, very good, very good indeed. Makes me want to go on a long, long, long road trip.
HHMM! Nice nice nice!

      Classy lady. Classy music.
I love this.
I hope not. That'd make her about 60 years old.

Love the guitar in this.

'kin right! And so often they sing in flawless English without a trace of Scandinavian accent. Apart from Abba, of course :*)

This is lovely, and melancholy, though I always expect melancholia from Scandinavians - must be the long winter nights. 7 from the Nottingham jury, likely to rise with further listenings.

Dude, I was thinking the SAME THING! Guess we are both crazy!

True, a duet with Sivert Høyem would be awsome.
Reminds me of Natalie Merchant, which is not a compliment.
sentimental....-  5.

Pretty Good.
Very nice. Cadence is similar to Dar Williams' Mortal City.

That's OK , Please no Yoko!
Excellent. I don't hear any Ani DeFranco. But I love her voice and the orchestral, oceanic flow of the music. The song has a really nice break. Excellent.
i keep waiting for john lennon's voice
what are you guys talking about?... this is far, far different from Ani. IMHO much better! This is raw, powerful and emotional in way totally unique to Ebba
I agree, almost thought this was Ani. Not as raw as Ani though. Love it!
Wow. And yes, much, much gentler than Ani Di Franco.
A bit like Ani Di Franco, just gentler.
i dig it
Mmm. Yeah.
beautiful
Didn't anybody tell her? Didn't anybody see?
Pleasant enough--in a Dido kind of way.
This is nice, very listenable to.

A penny too much from my wallet.
no. just like a busload of female vocals.

Tunes like this are why I listen to RP. Just gorgeous.

Very nice! Though it makes me think of Chicago's "And If You Leave Me Now". Not that I'm complaining, that song is a guilty pleasure. :)
wouldn't mind hearing another one of her songs before passing judgment. this one is a little weak, imo.
