At last.......this music is incredibly atmospheric......love it
Nice and dark, just the way I like it. {#Devil_pimp}
I live in the sunny southern part of Germany where we had a record amount of sun right up to the middle of October. Yesterday, it finally started raining and it won't stop until the day after tomorrow.

Then this finest of all doom jazz tracks comes on. Everything outside gets darker by the minute - absolute bliss.

I am just here for the music!  I will argue about politics somewhere else!
Simply Super!
There is only ONE tune by them on the RP playlist.   PLEASE ADD MORE TUNES!!  Thank you!

Jelani - calm down. No one asked for either of your opinions. I come here for the music.
Wow! Music from my home area "Ruhrgebiet" played on RP.

One of my top 10 albums for the lonely island.

And just like that, we are back in a global cold war!  Sigh...if we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.
So nice to hear this on RP! Long live RP!

My go-to album for falling asleep when the good ol' insomnia strikes. Solid track!
Wouldn't wanna hear that one in my grave.
Music for greeting the last day of your Earth years☺️
Deeply moving and transcending🌞

Gloriously Seductive! Still I’d love to hear more Nick Cave in a similar vein!

Constant Nausea would be a more apt title for the Twittler regime.

This is beautifully ethereal and kind of eerie at the same time. It seems like I've been hearing it forever - in a good way!

Look at this EU with all its incompetence and unable figures and f***ing Merkel de facto ruling it. Brexit is, at least for me, very understandable. And Trump is certainly an egomaniac a******, but far from being the quasi-dictator western media want us to believe he is.
Far, far worse
is the suspension of our democratic rights due to a virus - and surprise, surprise, not executed by evil right wings!

I know this is supposed to be funny, but it's merely in poor taste. Very poor taste.

Well, maybe it's a little bit exaggerated 🙃 but they kinda ask for it, don't they? I think that calling the music dark and having skulls painted all over the place to make it appealing is in bad taste! Just listening to this piece didn't darken may mood one bit. 🤔 So, maybe it's ambient music for the cemetery... or for the catacombs... for the burial service?... For the human cremation chamber? For the zombie spa? 😁 Am I getting any warmer? 😂
Digging this one - never heard it before
Fear is fear of this or that. Angst is just angst. Goes deep. Allow it or succomb to it.. That's life. And it's great.

Which is not too uncommon with german bands... (though Bohren is quite an uncommon german band.)
It is odd indeed. Just finished posting on Common Dreams in regards to the impact of climate disaster and what possible course of action could be taken with the conclusion that nothing significant can be done. Then this comes along. Synchronicity? At any rate it certainly expresses my feelings right now.

I want this song to go on and on and on and on and on and on……

Sounds striking like the Jean-Michel Jarre song 'Last Rendezvous' scheduled to be recorded in space (the sax part) by the astronaut on the shuttle Challenger that blew up.
It's midnight somewhere....
Great motivating Saturday afternoon music...Said nobody ever. Kinda has a bit of a Morphine sound in there.

I can't thank RP enough for introducing me to Bohren & Der Club of Gore. They are now my go-to albums when I need to calm down at work or chill out by the fireplace at home. Moody and sultry.

One of Germanys Best!
Moody, mesmerizing, smooth as it gets and yes, very dark. But every now and then there's a beautiful flicker of light.

If you're on the fence about buying the whole album based on this track, just buy it. The mood is consistent, but the music varies enough to be interesting and it's solid end to end. Perfect strange weather day music.
It is now!
Go get it...CD is great!

Thanato-jazz. Smooth and deadly. Love it. The band name also tickles me. 9 from the disturbed Nottingham jury.
This has a Twin Peaks vibe.
Peaceful, dark, gentle.

Unusual combination.
{#Drunk} {#Sleep}
This is BEAUTIFUL!  I'm getting a "Dark side of the Moon" vibe....LOVE IT! #notafraidofthedarkside
This always reminded me of Jean Michel Jarre's "Last Rendezvous (Ron's Piece)." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtGG1WLP1pk

It was supposed to be the first music recorded in space, but the Challenger and saxophonist Ron McNair perished instead on this day 30 years ago.
Darkish and oppressing ... Yikes! {#Sunny}
Very melancholy, but in a good way.
Very nice. Reminds me of Morphine.

Each to their own, no doubt. I for one do like this on occasion. My be too somber to listen to all the time. Follow up with some big band swing might be fun. They are a strange lot these boys. They characterize this as "doom ridden jazz music". Apt description. Certainly fits in the eclectic category furshur.
Bill, you play this at 3:00 on a Thursday afternoon.  Are you trying to kill me?
Blue Velvet and David Lynch, a cut from your soundtrack is calling.

Will anything be happening in this piece before the end of it? '

Spooky but great!
mmm... ya man. I could go for a whole bunch of this thrown in the mix. Just gotta bookend it with some good stuff that really compliments it. Sometimes I think they just hit the shuffle button and let it go.
Cool jazzy and meditative. A nice change of pace.

Firesign theater!  Now that's a flashback. Thanks.
This song gives me the creeps and I love it!
what a groove, love it!
It doesn't belong here, IMO, anymore than Miles Davis's In a Silent Way does.  I love IASW and this reminds me of that Miles a bunch.  But I don't want it here mixed with these tunes, thank you.  They both require a serious listen or they will put me to sleep.

Sounds like Angelo Badalamenti - he must be a part of this?! (hence the David Lynch vibe, BTW)

I  hear echoes of the 3-piece jazz combos popularized by Ahmad Jamal...

More film noir than David Lynch... This is a really good album for the post-midnight winter rain or snow falls

Music seems to travel further at night than during the day. The imagination gets more room to play plus sharing the night and music with someone special sears the memory...

Thank you RP. Just wish more of their music was this good.
