Okay, I love this music, usually. Tonight, though, it's grating on my nerves. Bad timing - not bad music. SO much talent! I'm just not in the right frame of mind for it tonight, but I do love them. I have a horrible headache, so probably even Dan Fogelberg would elicit white-jagged-shards-of-pain.
Rodrigo Y Gabriela are definitely a force to be reckoned with! Far too much talent for only two people - they'd need an army to contain them. I hope this made sense...
Bump
Siblings, I think
errr. nope. Different last names, met at 15, so . . .
HEY, i'm an OLD DUDE, but I still have EYES. She just knocks my SOCKS OFF! Rodrigo is one heck of a lucky guy to have such a TALENTED and foxy partner!
Siblings, I think
She jumps up and down in utter enthusiasm for almost the entire performance. Not bored, I guarantee you.
I can verify that. I saw them on Austin City Limits or some such thing. She was jumping almost the whole thing wearing red keds sneakers I think. Tons of energy!
high school was for getting , well high. i'll never forget the dope lecture in 8th grade a local nark came to class and did his sthick, then passed around a plate with 2 badly rolled pinners, when he got the plate back.....there were 3 joints and the 3rd. one was a fatty. never in my life have I seen a cop that color.
lol!!!! D.A.R.E = Drugs Are Really Exciting!
Really, you see monkeys in the trees after eating mushrooms!?! thanks for the trip...err...tip.
you think that's funny? I had to play that in my high school band at the Christmas faire thingy....I was third clarinet, which gave me lots of time for other functions....I should have been second but, you know...Mary-Beth was cute and well.....high school.....anyway...we got to the part with the penguins and the third trombone started to gag. Seems one of the penguins crapped on his shoes, something like that....At one point the director indicated it was time for me to "remove all cattle from stage", which, being a good farm boy, I thought I could handle. Sadly, the cattle were mock ups...small children dressed as cows, all from a nearby private school and they were having a good time frolicking amongst the strings, (mostly the cellos), I had to use the "prod" to get them off the stage, and sadly, there was a somewhat vocal outcry from a few mums....So glad I'm not in high school any more......
Sir please write a book I will buy 5 copies

When I saw them at Red Rocks she had a hand masseuse. Al Dimeola came out and played with them it was awesome from the third row.
shad up....Go see them live and then tell me there is no emotion. These guys do the most amazing live show. Beyond description and not without emotion. I call you out for being jealous.
I prefer the original, it's simpler and more powerful. Each ti his/her own eh
Saw Rodrigo and Gabriela at Edgefield outside Portland this weekend. A great, great show!!!
"Amazing playing" does not automatically equate to an enjoyable listening experience for everyone, however, I like this tune, in small doses.
Agree completely!
I would not rate it a 1, but the music really grates on my nerves. I don't know what it is about their material that I hear on RP, but maybe it's just too frantic for me.
Must be a hint.

For once, I agree with you.
Now I know why these smileys are blue and green!
"I GOT BLISTERS ON MY BLISTERS!!!"
For once, I agree with you.
Well, to be fair, she's not playing a drum kit...she uses the guitar for the percussion.
You're in for a treat. I saw them in London a while back and if you think it's fun on the record, just wait :)
It's my dream to find out in person.

Okay - this is the absolute FUNNIEST thing I've seen in a long time! "Balance your chair on 2 legs...." "Remove cattle from stage..." "Release the penguins..." "All harpists stand up and wait..." "gong duet..."

I say four sticks.
The Romans among us would say 2:2
I say four sticks.
I say Mexican wave. . .
I say four sticks.
Wow! The syncronicity of seeing 11:11 everywhere is unbelievable! And here it comes soon enough!

very funny
I pasted the image on Word. "arranged by accident" . Nice
??????
Is that how you refer to every talented act?
What happens if it's played at 4:20 on the West Coast?.... just sayin'.... ;)
That woould mean the second period is almost halfway through. I dedicate this to those inebriated souls watching the hockey series - it's June, you know, watch a summer sport!
If it plays at 11:11 on 11/11/11, then I would have to guess it was NOT a coincidence. How about it Bill ?

Seconded! Love their other albums

Its missing lyrics. But for the benefit of all, I provide them here:
...Hey!

Fun.
Wait a minute—those lyrics belong to Manu Chao...
Is it a coincidence that the last two times this song was played overlapped 11:11 on the West coast?

It was the first time I heard this awesome duo today. I bought the album 10 min later, and I'm so grateful :)
Don't you mean Al DiMeola and company?

doubt it. it's what makes this station different from computer generated playlists, and how you know there's a human on the other end.
