So like your
Father in the face and blood
Terrified and cold
And whispers
The coming of a cleansing flood
For you
You hide your
Filthy hands from all of us
Still unseen and tied
What water
These killing hands could ever clean
Still you run
I want to be changed from
The shadow and the tomb
Courtesy of lyricshall.com
Like water rushing over us
The tide pulls from the moon
Your mother
The passing of a silver ring
Over-sized and cold
This specter
Will walk the halls of every seed
From you
I want to be changed from
The shadow and the tomb
Like water rushing over us
The tide pulls from the moon
The tide pulls from the moon
The tide pulls from the moon.
Father in the face and blood
Terrified and cold
And whispers
The coming of a cleansing flood
For you

Still unseen and tied

Still you run

When this song began, I thought it might have been something by Jimmie Spheeris

Why does rock poetry all sound the same? Arty but not saying anything profound.

Yeah - beard with no moustache is like... I dunno... Amish I guess... to each his own. I'm too lazy to maintain something that complex.

All right, that's enough.
It's a Summer Friday afternoon.
Quit playing this soft, mellow, sleepy music and kick in some RnR.
It's freakin Summer!

Ideas? I'm sure it's an homage to something we're all familiar with.

A little slow for my taste. I'm trying to find my heartbeat on this one.

He has been opening for Over the Rhine this season. Played solo acoustic, the songs tend to stay within a rather narrow range of intensity and do share quite a lot with each other. I enjoy this better with accompanying instruments. He's a tall fellow with a small fellow's singing voice (his speaking voice does not sound like this).

What a sad, sullen and quite depressing comment. If you want different music, perhaps consider switching to a different channel. The 24/7 Party Mix perhaps?
As for this song: wonderful, and not depressing at all. Hopeful, sweet, yes.

Please Bill consider a more upbeat playlist? More than half of the music we pay you to play is sad, sullen and quite depressing?
Wish the pull of the moon would suck this artist off the planet!

Great song. He must be a seriously hairy dude, not that that matters, but he must get pretty hot on stage.

I like this guy a lot. He does some of his songs as both acoustic and non-acoustic versions -- don't know if this is one of them. And he has a righteous beard.

Nice pleasant voice and song.

He cites Sufjan Stevens as an influence. When I looked him up, I was thinking it was the same person.
I'm really liking this guy's voice/style a lot. Sure, it sounds like Sufjan and other people like him, but......it's still really nice.

Compelling sound made me look to read about who the artist was. (Tide pulled his hair to a different place than I would suggest, but still think it's an evocative hook.)
Now THAT is an impressive beard.
Mellow, not bad
