Claim with me in this city so tired
So nothing promise that ever gonna last
Say it slowly
You still shine like a diamond
I found you throw me
Whisper to me that you had enough
Apologize that you're not in love
If it's just the chemicals that i stay
Everybody seems to sing the same thing
I was in too deep
I was over my mind
You help me out to find those fraze
Break the rules I am innocent..
Say it slowly
You still shine like a diamond
I found you throw me
Whisper to me that you had enogh
Apologize that you're not in love
If it's just the chimicals that i stay
Whisper to me that you had enogh
Apologize that you're not in love
If it's just the chimicals that i stay
Slow, stay
Slow, stay
Slow, stay
Slow, stay
So nothing promise that ever gonna last
Say it slowly

I love this, a truly fantastic arrangement showcasing amazing vocals and time-machine electronic wizardry. A lovely Standard Orbit swoon...
These lyrics are WAY off.

Thought this was a lost track from a later 70s Supertramp album. Sounds like the vocalist from that era of Supertramp.

FWIW, it sounds like Arcade Fire with Régine Chassagne on vocals to me.
Agreed, I thought it was Arcade Fire until I looked at the playlist.

Fleetwood Mac? Like it alot, too.

Destination Unkown by Missing Persons is a similar song that I love.

Would you be interested in hearing more about Dianetics?
Too reminiscent of any love scene Tom Cruise filmed in the 80s.

Does anyone hear Rick Davies or whoever the vocalist was for Supertramp in this tune?

Interesting. Definitely a bit o the 80s. Men without hats anyone?
My ears have forced me to bump this up to an 8.
I love it on first listen... should have been on The Goonies soundtrack!

Garbage, Nirvana... were 80s bands??
I wondered about that too. Nirvana was playing music in the late '80s, but weren't really known until 1991 or so. Garbage didn't even form as a band until the mid-'90s. I'm not sure what either band had in common with Huey Lewis, with or without The News.
An 80's revival is a good thing. Unless you like Garbage, Nirvana, Huey Lewis...

Pretty album cover. Okay vocals. I gave it a 7.

I totally agree. This sounds like it would be a song in an 80s teen movie. I like it for that reason(80s child here).

I can't help liking this, bit of a guilty pleasure like early Madonna.

I gave it an 8 upon first listening. Went to Spotify to listen again and just lowered my rating to a 6. Sounds like Sinead O'Connor singing, which I love -- but the music is quite boring.
marvelous... love it...
I really like this song a LOT... it is interesting... I am curious about the rest of the album... I am optimistic... here's a review I looked at—
Gentle synth-pads and hip-hop/R&B-influenced drums soundtrack Webber's strong, tender vibrato vocals, which pull the album's feel back towards dream-pop, occasionally echoing the likes of Beach House, or even Julee Cruise. Occasionally tending towards the saccharine, the tracks are rescued from tweeness by their sheer simplicity, elegantly constructed pads and beats keeping things focused and raw...
Totally Rad
...different sound than their Black Mountain stuff.
Interesting sound -still not sure but a 6 for now.
Caught my attention pret quick.
Very 80's vibe to it. In a good way.
Everybody in my churches loves this song...
silly first
