Then came the morning
It was bright like a light that you cut from your smile
Then came the morning
Like a flood from your storm that you cut from my heart
Take the dawn with you when you leave
Wash my hands of all this broken heave
Never forget what you thought you'd never be
If you ever let me break the spell of cryin'
Leavin' what we could have found and
Then came the morning
It was bright like a light that you cut from your smile
Then came the morning
Like a flood from your storm that you cut from my heart
Take my words, breathe 'em out like smoke
Burn every single letter that I wrote
Let the pages turn to ash, I don't want them back
Everything you've always said to me
Starts to sound like broken glass on speakers
Spread it out all over places where I sleep
Now you've finally left me, done with all your lyin'
Joy come to me, boy and you won't see me cryin'
Then came the morning
It was bright like a light that you cut from your smile
Then came the morning
Like a flood from your storm that you cut from my heart
Then came the morning
It was lost when you left, when you took what I felt
Then came the morning
Then came the morning
Then came the morning
Then came the morning
Then the storm raised the...
I thought you stole
Start to feel the way I felt way before
You broke down my front door
Popped my heart up out the wood floor
Now I'm done, let your smilin' be gone
Then came the morning
It was bright like a light that you cut from your smile
Then came the morning
Like a flood from your storm that you cut from my heart
Then came the morning
Then came the morning

It's like it's 'ending' all the way through. ;-)
That is one bloody long 'oooh' at the end. Just when you think the thing is finally ending, it drags on for a few seconds more. Harrumph!
I always think he's singing:
then came the boredom....

I think he sounds like Glen Hansard. I'll need to hear it a few more times before I rate it...
10 because the surprise that sounds a great '60 soul. Thank you RP for this fantastic moments everyday.
This band and song were a nice surprise when I turned on Jools Holland to check out Alabama Shakes. Great R&B belter.

Good old-fashioned R&B. Like this a lot.

Yeah, it seems like there are several influences with this act; some previously mentioned, but the vocals also remind me of Ed Brigati from The (Young) Rascals a little bit. Actually, parts of the tune have a Rascals feel about them.

This song is AMAZING! The Lone Bellow is ground breaking and I expect big things out of them. Do yourself a favor and check out their other songs...incredible. Thank you RadioParadise for "narrating my life from one mood to the next" :-)
ugh. Then came the PSD button...
Really nothing groundbreakingly special. In other words, like many other tunes that float around the atmosphere. Ah.
Thought I heard Cher there for a second. But obviously not.
Yes, and also yes!
this is really nice.

Liking this more and more.

Not at all reminiscent of Bellowhead, but likeable enough.
Has an Alabama Shakes sound to it — sounds good as the sun cuts through the cold still lingering under the pine and juniper outside...
very nice
i like everything i've heard from this outfit.

Enjoying this on my first listen.
This was enjoyable.
Caught my attention in a good way. Tempted to make a joke re: Bellowing, but will avoid it.

Just saw them in Grass Valley. Amazing live show. Lots of energy and passion.
