Bluebirds over the mountain, seagulls over the sea
Bluebirds over the mountain, bring my baby back to me
Boy and girl they fell in love, each was like the hands above
He looked in the eyes of blue, she vowed to him that she'd be true
Bluebirds over the mountain, seagulls over the sea
Bluebirds over the mountain, bring my baby back to me
(Well, well, well, well)
I miss you, oh, can't you see? You're the only one for me
Since you've gone, I'm all alone, c'mon, baby, come back home
Bluebirds over the mountain, seagulls over the sea
Bluebirds over the mountain, come on and bring my baby back to me
Bring my baby back to me
Bring my baby...
Bring her back to me
Bring her back to me
Bring her back to me
Bluebirds over the mountain, bring my baby back to me
Boy and girl they fell in love, each was like the hands above

Bring her back to me
Bring her back to me
Bring her back to me

I don't know what Robert Plant was thinking with this version. Fkn awful and that's being kind to him.

Yup, you're ears don't deceive ya. That's Chrissie
I can't find anything to confirm, or not, my thought that Chrissie Hynde is singing backup on this song. Anyone?

With you 100 percent here!!! I love lack of chatter but too many "1" selections that send me running to turn down volume and pray for better.
Also agree. There are a few pet hits and bands on RP that disappoint me when they keep coming on, including also Pink Floyd (if I don't hear anything from The Wall for a few quarters I'll be happy -- over-heard it all when it first came out...). Robert Plant solo is also a problem for me. His solo stuff just shows how much he needed the rest of LZ to make him sound great back then. Can't find the sweet spot in any of his solo stuff that I keep hearing here.

Not fond of this one.
This is ototoxic.
I swear that there's a Bauhaus "Spy in the Cab" sample in this song - great to hear a rookie like Robert Plant pay homage to the vocalist extraordinaire that is Peter Murphy.
I prefer the Judy Garland version . . . oh, never mind.
Blue Balls over your Mountains
Grating.

Don't want to be a Debbie Downer here but I have been a RP listener for a long time and only recently have noticed a lot of repetition...the new Robert Plant, the new Decembrists, etc. I gravitated toward this station to get away from that. Kinda disappointed....anyone with me on this?

George apparently doesn't handle coincidences very well.
Sounds like some sort of cruel joke perpetrated by Bill. Nice!
Bill, do you play anything other than Robert Plant in his various iterations? This song was on, I pushed PSD and got Led Zeppelin.
I switched to another station.

I think the same of Neil Young. Even if I don't adore a current incarnation, I know he'll keep evolving.
And yes, Mr. Plant has 'teamed up' with some great ones alright...literally and figuratively.
Robert Plant is one of the first 'old guy' musicians I think of as having kept it fresh and inventive over the years. You don't have to like it all, but he hasn't rested on his laurels. And boy he sure teams up with great singers and musicians.

Yes! Too much repetition of not that great songs — this is not eclectic, just bothersome. Way down we go go go go go, way down we go- that Bob Moses song, please stop.

Uhh, no, not me. Because as you know, unlike all airwave and some/many web venues, you can shuffle out of what you don't like or don't want to hear anymore. I do it all the time. Too much Decembrists? Next. Kate Bush? Later. Arcade Fire? Ouch. I appreciate the chance to land on some good tracks I've never heard, or others I've already heard 20 times — and want them another 20. And no bogus happy chatter filler.

5 plays in last 30 days, about once a week isnt too repetitive for a recent release. How many hours a day are you listening?

Like a rockabilly 45 rpm vinyl record played at 33rpm!

Wish he was still recording albums like Now and Zen and Principle of Moments, though....
Another "classic" rock idiom refashioned. Plant can be a hard pill to swallow, but there's no denying his range and depth.

just noise
I like it. I'm glad he's creating new original sounds in his later career - sounds like he's having fun.
Same musical direction as "Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar", which is Quite Likeable too.
I really like this later work. Not for some, I guess, those longing for yesterday maybe, but I like this and all his stuff since leaving the zep.
well, I like it!
Disappointing.
Interesting... I must say, to me, a lot of the stuff he's done in recent years is somewhat jarring to the ears...this might grow on me, but...
My one and only rating of 1 Sucko Barfo.
As a teenager I was a big Led Zep fan and have liked one or two songs by Robert Plant since then but if I never heard this again I would be more than pleased.
Sorry Robert, this is truly awful - even double tracking Chrisie Hynde on to it could not save it.
It's a dead parrot.
