One thing I really do not understand is why RP does not play The Magnetic Fields´ original songs...
Shades of Nataly Dawn, excellent.
I want to like it; the musician is good, but the problem is the song is 100% pure cheese. It has to be sung at that level of a great fromage - which is what Peter Gabriel has done. Here, it's like a vegan cheese. It's just okay, but if there's other cheese than vegan, I'm getting the good stuff.
I hate to be a hater, but I don't feel this cover adds anything to this otherwise beautiful song.
Man, there is always something in my eye when this song comes on...
Oh wow, I loved the original and the Peter Gabriel version, so glad to have found this one here! This is great, love Olivia
Omg can Oliva SING! Her voice and delivery astonish me.

Maybe this might encourage the "youf" to give Peter Gabriel a listen. It's a great song, and this is a nice cover.

Couldn't be more different than the Magnetic Fields version (I give them both an '8').
Phenomenal song by Magnetic Fields and a fantastic cover here. This is not an easy song to improve from the original because the original is just so good. But Olivia kills it here.

I listen to RP for a lot of reasons, and one is to hear things I've not heard before. This is a nice song, she has a nice voice. I could use a bit more to make me sit up each time it comes on. Those are the moments I like best, when I rush to my playlist to add something new that I discovered here. This isn't that, but I won't skip it either.

The book of love is long and boring
No one can lift the damn thing
It′s full of charts and facts and figures
And instructions for dancing
But I, I love it when you read to me
And you, you can read me anything
The book of love has music in it
In fact that's where music comes from
Some of it is just transcendental
Some of it is just really dumb
But I, I love it when you sing to me
And you, you can sing me anything
The book of love is long and boring
And written very long ago
It′s full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes
And things we're all too young to know
But I, I love it when you give me things
And you, you ought to give me wedding rings
I, I love it when you give me things
And you, you ought to give me wedding rings
