So, I was referencing the scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the plague cart is coming around the village collecting the dead. I've always remembered, in this scene, the line "I'm not dead yet...". I searched for that line and even the various YouTube videos are listed as that... with the"yet"... but he doesn't say it. Nowhere does he say "yet"... simply, "I'm not dead...". WTF... did this change, is it somewhere else in the movie? Anyone know Terry Gilliam and if so, can you ask him for me?

edit: Never seen, nor listened to, Spamalot.
edit 2: link to script... no mention of "yet" or another "not dead" scene.

an end of career, sadly

Bruce Willis’s Family Finally Admits the Truth: He Has Significant Cognitive Issues, and Will Retire from Acting at Age 67

Bruce Willis’s family has done the wise thing and admitted the truth. They say Bruce has recently been diagnosed with aphasia and will retire from acting. I am so glad they’ve finally done this.

Willis has had cognitive issues for years. He was making god awful D films, ruining his legacy in the process and possibly not understanding that at the same time. Willis recently was given a whole category at the Razzies for eight bad performances. It was embarrassing.

So this had to stop. The Razzies, possibly coupled with the advancing nature of Bruce’s condition, finally made the family come to this decision. What’s great is that Demi Moore, Bruce’s ex wife and mother of his three eldest daughters, has been so involved. The family has really pulled together.

The trouble began a few years ago when he suddenly had to be replaced in the 2015 Woody Allen movie “Cafe Society” by Steve Carell. At the same time, Bruce was on Broadway in “Misery,” reading his lines off cue cards or having them fed into his ear by an off stage helper.

read more about Bruce Willis’s retirement here

On the all these crappy movies of the last two or three years, it was the same thing. He appeared in one or two scenes and robotically read lines that were mouthed to him.

Now Bruce’s family has posted this message to Instagram, and it’s about time.

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.
This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.
As Bruce always says, “Live it up” and together we plan to do just that.
Love,
Emma, Demi, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel, & Evelyn”

And now that the truth is out, we will probably start hearing from Bruce’s wife, Emma, who’s very active on social media and has a cosmetics line. Without further humiliating Bruce, now Emma can tell the truth openly and help other people who are dealing with cognitive issues, whether it’s aphasia or dementia, etc.

Bruce Willis had ‘cognitive issues’ on sets ahead of aphasia announcement

On Wednesday, the “Die Hard” star’s family announced that the star has been diagnosed with aphasia and will step away from his decades-long career.

BRUCE WILLIS PUTS ACTING CAREER ON PAUSE ...Diagnosed with Aphasia

Bruce Willis won't be acting for the foreseeable future — and it's all due to a medical condition he's developed that makes it difficult, if not impossible, for him to communicate.

Bob Saget's family attorney says new police report confirms 'the entire story' of Full House star's death

  • Bob Saget American comedian

Bob Saget's family attorney has confirmed that newly released police records chronicling the late comedian and actor's death paint a comprehensive picture of the events leading up to his passing.

In a statement to EW, the family's lawyer, Brian H. Bieber, indicated that the police records "tell the entire story" of the Full House star's unexpected death.

"Bob passed away after a fall and hitting his head in his hotel room," Bieber confirmed in the statement, referencing the medical examiner's previously announced findings that Saget died after suffering head trauma. "Now that the medical examiner's and police department's records have been released after their respective thorough investigations, the Saget family would appreciate privacy to mourn in peace."

The Orange County Sheriff's Office report, obtained by EW, included 56 photos from the Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Orlando, Florida, where the 65-year-old actor was found unresponsive on Jan. 9. It also revealed police body camera footage and the authorities' audio interviews with various hotel staff members.

In the audio, Orlando Nunez, an overnight valet worker at the hotel, recalled speaking with Saget about the star's recent COVID-19 diagnosis, but indicated that Saget was not slurring his words or having balance issues that would suggest anything was out of the ordinary. Richard Stanford, a production coordinator for the local cultural council whose job was to secure items on talent riders, expressed he felt "weird" about a few interactions with Saget the night before his death.

"The only thing I noticed, it's hard to pick up," Stanford said. "His conversations kept getting weird. He'd talk, and then he'd just change it in between.... I don't know if he stumbled over words, the train of thought just changed a couple of times."

Following his death, Saget's wife, Kelly Rizzo, released a statement on Instagram.

"Bob truly lived life to its fullest. He had so many hardships over the years that he would always tell me 'look, life is hard, we need to enjoy it as much as possible.' And one of the best ways we did that together was sharing and exploring amazing food around the world," she wrote. "We were in our happy place together whenever we were out at a restaurant, hotel lobby bar, or even our own kitchen when I would try out a new creation on him. He was never shy about ordering, and he would even tell you to get everything on the menu that you wanted because he also wanted to see you enjoy everything to the fullest. Experiencing simple pleasures in life like that brought him so much joy. I can't even put into words how much I will miss this."
