It's not even "spam" (he's not hawking shoes or any other products), it's just flat-out trolling.

Ya, I didn't see that until after I got home and read the back label. Had a glass and it is quite nice. Quite the punch flavor-wise. Just don't ask me what it tastes like. I leave that to the experts. ð

"Nova Scotia just announced it's finally selling off its remaining American booze stockpiled before the boycotts, worth about $14M. 100% of the profits will be donated to local community food groups. Great idea!"
Had to stop by today and see for myself. The odd thing was that there were no labels on the shelves, so no price showing. Selling it at regular price.
But hey, who knows when they will stock up again, so I got an Elijah Craig and tried something new to me, Traveller Whiskey Blend N°40. There's another store not far from here that stocks Angel's Envy. Might go there tomorrow to see if they still have some.

I keep expecting to find specials on American whisky / bourbon. So far it hasn't manifested. I've heard they would rather store it or dump it than sell it at a discount and 'dilute the market value'. But I have seen other good stuff on sale (like your Toki there), and it makes me think that others see the opportunity. Our country appears to be universally short sighted right now.

I picked up an expensive bottle of Irish whiskey that had been part of a shipment to the US that got turned around because the import tariffs hit while it was at sea, or something. Got it for â¬40 but decided not to bother bringing it back so HobieJoe and JFW and I laid waste to it.

Dump it? Wow, I sure hope not. I hear from my daughter in BC that you can get bourbon from non-government booze stores. But I haven't heard about that around here in NS. Just when I saw Angel's Envy for the first time here, but by the time I was ready to get a bottle, gone.
The liquor store in my town has a couple of Single Malts on clearance. One of these days...
Thanks to our Canadian government, no USA booze in the liquor stores. I really miss my bourbon, haven't' had it in a few months or so. The closest i can come is with Canadian whiskey aged in American bourbon casks. Oh well. This Japanese offering is nice, albeit a bit more than i normally spend on whiskey, but hey, it was on special.
