Very cool. I missed that when it was posted originally. Lots of memories tied to that room, and to those people. Gordy, Uncle Sherman, Sully - even Elsbeth Lansman, who was later the music director at KPIG but is in diapers here.

One of these days I'm going to find some long lost cassettes from '75-'76 and send you copies. I know you're not on them but they're fun. I ain't just kidding. You'll see...{#Good-vibes}

Nice behind the scene look at a true classic free-form FM station.
And I even heard him play "Fallen Favorite" by Chris Hillman... one of my favorites!
I think I'll call KHUM-FM and request that one!

Gordy was one of my favorites. I never got to meet him but he was on mornings and I managed to record him a few times. High times and misdemeanors meets olive drab and gama goats meets ocean fog banks meets the smells of Salinas sugar beet rendering . I would respend those youthful  days in a heartbeast...
 The good old  days!

I think it was at the Garlic Festival. I swore I smelled Thai-stick and heard a Flawed Flubs commercial over the P.A.

There's a lot there.
And Gilbert Klein tends to repeat himself a bit.
I still find it an interesting story.
