Started out with RP on Sonos then moved to airplay to get FLAC but the stability sucked.   Then moved to computer and browser —> DAC , which was stable and sounded good.    Finally got a Bryston Raspberry Pi which had a RP FLAC App In the Manic Moose web interface.  But son of a biscuit it was unstable.  So boned up for a ROON subscription which sees the Bryston as a an end point and also manages the RP FLAC As well as local storage and subscription service.  Solid and sound good I’m happy camper.  Then today I look at the Manic Moose software on Pi and there is a Bryston firmware update available so I do it.  I look in the release notes and it states streaming library updates.  So I jumped back from Roon and ran the RP app on the Bryston Pi.  Ran solid for an hour and I’m thinking cool they fixed it.  Finally get a chance to sit down in front of the speakers.  And I thinking dang this sound good.  So I jump back to Roon and then Back to Bryston Manic Moose and Wow.  Few more tunes go buy and I am blown away with how good this sounds on the Pi.  What a long journey its been but Got DAMN am I  a happy camper tonight.  The Bryston Pi/ Manic Moose and RP now as a source  is truly , in my eyes, a kick ass combination.
