One of my life's goals was to have my own Coca-Cola machine.  My husband, back in the marriage years, got me a 1929 machine. I lost twenty-five cents everytime somebody bought one.

edit// ..and I loved it; sold it for a bunch of money.

Ashkenazi Jews (I just realized, that word has nazi in it), Jews from Europe, do not consume legumes (plants with kernels) during Passover, but Sephardi Jews (Middle Eastern) do.

Before Passover observant Jews clean out all their cupboards to the bare walls, and give away or burn all their not safe for Passover food. They scrub down and cover their kitchen counters, and take out all their dishes and cookware replace them with their Passover dishes. My ex-sister-in-law had two sets of good china, and they also use paper plates a lot. The real Orthodox take it even more steps further. It's a major deal.

We have some friends who have two seperate kitchens in order to keep as Kosher as possible at all times.

I can't believe all the stuff that's Kosher for Passover now. (Not that I actually keep that anyway).
