I seem to recall that MM recorded a song, "This land is my land, this land ain't your land" (or vice versa). But there doesn't seem to be any evidence of it on the internet. Was it someone else? Am I making this up?
Mull spent a large part of his childhood in Cleveland. For a few years two of his cousins were customers where I worked and you could see that Mull's looks and humor were quite prevalent in his family You could tell they were related. Nice easy going folks. He's a folk hero here in Cleveburg.
Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman or as it was parodied here in Cleveburg ... Mary Hartski, Mary Hartski
You made me laugh my ass off. Thanks Martin

I kept looking and found two incarnations of what is a parody of the Woody Guthrie song. One is pretty much it and the second one is a hillbilly sendup that is actually pretty damn good, but has little to with the song itself.

Indeed ! Kelly's Heroes was my first encounter with Sutherland. Been a fan ever since.

I am particular to his performance in Eye of the Needle as I'm a BIG Ken Follett fan. But as stated here, many a great role. He never disappointed.

So many great roles. I have a special fondness for the way Steelyard Blues parodied Klute. Couldn't find a clip with Jane Fonda but he was brilliant with Peter Boyle
Yes mouse saw that on the news. Don’t forget him in Animal House as pot-smoking Professor Dave Jennings and as Sergeant Oddball in the World War II film "Kelly's Heroes." Donald Sutherland gave us some good performances over his career. To Donald
