This sounds like the (thankfully) missing Madonna and Enigma collab.
If the virus made noise, this is what it would sound like.
Excellent.
What RP is all about.
Is that Michael Jackson doing the voice at the beginning?
Ya. Interesting but it's a PSD.

Thanks for posting that..
I was lucky too have seen them live at a dance camp, at burning man 2003, these guys put on an
incredible show.. Ethno tekno tribal..

So Bill, I just noticed that you hadn't played this in 2.5 years.  Looking for a good laugh, perchance?
Oh goddammit.  This might be the worst thing I've heard all day.  All YEAR.  And I live in LA.
...i try to be a generous listener, but to be completely fair, this is just too sophomoric for prime time:  the artist needs some time to mature...

Oh Gawd. Make it stop.
The whole album is an incredible stress-reducing experience.  Please play this song all you can.

I wouldn't go out and buy this either, but nobody is obliging me to do so.  This is okay as a background groove while I'm working, though.

This is such awful dreck, it is meaningless. No wonder people are warring with each other. When I hear something like this it makes me want to kill some one.
Though it isn't really my thing, your response makes me feel the need to defend it. It's "a call for peace." I hope the irony of your response was intentional .. if not, then I just feel sorry for the people that have to spend time around you.
I'd rather Lenon's "Imagine" was in this song's spot on this day.
Honourable sentiments, didactic and clichÚd expression. 3 from the Nottingham jury.

hokey
Holy crap, this is terrible.

I bet her hands hurt as much as my ears do from this song, what with those beams of light shooting through them.
How can you say that? This is such a smooth flowing song.
this...is... sooo bad... must... turn off....

"Now we stand on the brink of a new frontier And the power of peace is becoming clear.... Shalom alackhem ("Live In Peace" In Hebrew) Asalam a-ley-khoom ("Live In Peace" In Arabic) " Vaguely ironic, since the Middle East decided to tear itself apart after this song was recorded.
Wouldn't it be beautiful if Jews and Arabs could say this to each other?
It's too bad the parts I can understand are so terribly insipid, because everthing else is quite pleasant.
Elementary school poetry set to interesting music.... This band does that a lot.
This song is OK if your not listening to it. You see we just had a couple of beers at work and as I tried to work effectively I was really enjoying it. Then I made the mistake of listening to the song closely... The word bollocks comes to mind.
This is so bad my cat left the room
Totally Enigma
I really don't like the "spoken word" thing and whispering that are often present in such songs. Don't find it paricularly touching. Reminds me of really cheesy French songs that talentless, unable to sing, pseudo-singers often make. You can usually hear such songs on "soft-rock" radio stations back home...I have nothing against world peace though...;)
(breathlessly) "It's going to take... a revolution... of the heart!!!!!!" Oh good lord. I wrote better crap than this when I was a self-serious, hyper-pretentious "poet" in tenth grade. Enigma-lite, and that's saying a lot.
Bad couplets do not promote world peace.
Do they miss a cliche? Painfully predictable! Very weak effort!

Good message...terrible song!
Agreed.
Good message...terrible song!
Yeah, it reminds me of "Enigma" - not a bad thing! - like "Fat Boy Slim" sometimes sounds like "Moby"? - A wish for peace in three languages? I like it! - and to follow it up with Alanis Morrissette singing "Utopia"? Perfect! I give it a 7! (If I were the programmer, I would have followed "Utopia" with the National Lampoon's "Deteriorata", but that's just me!)
CorporalDan wrote:
Vaguely ironic,
I do not think there is anything vaguely ironic here. Regardless of when your adduced "tearing apart" started, the fact that both languages are sung makes it suggestive, not ironic. I do not, however, question the opaque derisiveness of your message.
Sounds alot like Enigma. I kinda like it.
I hate this kind of wallpaper
"Now we stand on the brink of a new frontier And the power of peace is becoming clear.... Shalom alackhem ("Live In Peace" In Hebrew) Asalam a-ley-khoom ("Live In Peace" In Arabic) " Vaguely ironic, since the Middle East decided to tear itself apart after this song was recorded.
Laughalbly bad!
Wow. Pretense, thy name is Lost at Last. I'm surprised (and slightly nauseated) to hear something this schmaltzy playing on RP!
the spoken word segments are cheesy (no matter how good the sentimate is) but the singing/music is rather nice... i like their other stuff... but not this
Oh my, this is bad. I guess the music is listenable, but the speaking voice is so distractingly annoying (and cheesy!) that I can't really tell. This is a poor man's Enigma, and I hate Enigma...
Comments of the past notwithstanding, this song has a place in the 9/11 omnibus. Check this out: https://www.cyberthings.com/shalom/. I mean, how many other songs in modern history can claim to be translated and recorded in 17 languages? And how much Arabic do you normally get exposed to, besides the images of bad guys in the news? So, support the song on moral grounds if not on pop sensibility.
While I respect the sentiment: boring......

Maybe so. As long as they dont try to desperately hang on to the glory days of yesteryear with pathetic vocals and tired songs.
like the singing... hate the talking/chanting. cheeesey.
wow, this is bad...
As much as I can empathize with some of the negative comments written here, I cannot agree. I love the Lost at Last sound (surprising even to me) and I appreciate the message and the spirit in which it was written -- all cultural distinctions aside.
:) Hey this is aok by me. ledhead Kemoc

Hey, KevDog, good news, dude, Led Zeppelin's coming up soon!
New age gibberish.

This woman\'s voice is beautiful. I also love the classical guitar, especially the tremelo portion.
