I can feel it creeping, and it's making me old
You give me so much love that it blows my brains out
You need something better than the bacon and eggs
The creaking in the walls and the banging in the bed
You give me so much love that it blows my brains out
Summer rain, dripping down your face again
Summer rain, praying someone feels the same
Take the pain killer, cycle on your bicycle
Leave all this misery behind
My love giving me head, feeling very guilty, breaking the bread
Losing my attention, I'm taking the world on
So batten up the hatches, here comes the cold
I can feel it creeping, and it's making me old
You give me so much love that it blows my brains out
Summer rain, dripping down your face again
Summer rain, praying someone feels the same
Take the pain killer, cycle on your bicycle
Leave all this misery behind
My love, my love, my love, oh my love
Summer rain, dripping down your face again
Summer rain, praying someone feels the same
Take the pain killer, cycle on your bicycle
Leave all this misery behind
Summer rain, dripping down your face again
Summer rain, praying someone feels the same
Take the pain killer, cycle on your bicycle
Leave all this misery behind

Mediocre band, it will leave no mark.

Love blew my brains out when I was 17 - 20 and had the obsessive, intensse, all-encompassing, deepest love I ever had for that 1st (often greatest) love of my life. It was too intense and I knew it, when it ended I was simultaneously relieved (kind of forced it's ending) and devastated. So I get the metaphor as a felt experience.
yeah! been there, too.
I've surely said it before, but this song takes me back to my early days of listening to RP. <3 I've never heard it anywhere else since.
it does me, too! i love the harmonies in the chorus. for some reason it reminds me of something else that i cannot put my finger on.
anyway, not my normal jam, but i love this. solid 8.

I know the feeling!
Sarf London...
I guess so.
Yeah...I also noticed that line....kinda like the Kings of Leon song "Sex on Fire" - and as long as nobody got arrested for the public display I say long live RH!! And Long Live RP too. I'm giving this one a 9 cuz it's fine.
I love the sound of this song, sort of what I like in general in pop music, and it happens to be raining in the Seattle area on this 17th of July (Summer Rain!) - and I'll go +.49 on my 9 rating....it's almost a 10 for me ...Long Live RP!!
You certainly do, and it's that which takes this from 4 to 2. Cowbells belong on cows.

What a revolting image. I can understand the colloquialism "blows my mind", but extending that to "blows my brains out" is a bit to far for me. It's hard to not imagine it literally... perhaps I have seen too many episodes of CSI.

Or 1980's Prime Ministers.
You can. Just gotta dig a little.
..i haven't heard the Everly Brothers on RP yet (jk)..
Big time, and not a bad thing
That would be - Set the Dog on Fire. At least that's how my ten year old daughter sings it.
Funny, me too. I went out and bought the CD because of RP.
RP is the cause of most of my CD purchases over the last few years...

I love the Judy Bats. . .
