Town to keep me movin', keep me groovin' with some energy

Well, I talk about it, talk about it
Talk about it, talk about it
Talk about, talk about
Talk about movin'

Gotta move on
Gotta move on
Gotta move on

A-won't you take me to Funkytown?

What a time!  Love this, and so unexpected!
Yesss!
A pleasant 5 minute diversion when there’s nothing but shit in the news and in the world these days. Thanks Bill.
Oh man that bass is sweet.
I was 15, my youth.
why do i love this? memories i guess
Blast from the past!
Count me among those who were pleasantly surprised to discover that I like this, even though I haven't heard it in 500 years and never paid attention to it at the time it came out. And for those freaking out, seriously: lighten up.
Wanna get high?

Your user name was indeed well-chosen.
Legendary! Let me take you DOWN
EASY 10!!
I decided to hit the Google and see if this studio act ever played live. Yep.

A brief mention in this article from Minneapolis,
The night Punk Killed Disco at First Avenue
I'd be OK if you never dusted it off again...
   .....  .. !
Love it!  Thanks for surprising us, Bill!
Are you kidding me?
Not sure what's the deal with haters, this is such a simple and nice song. What's there for hating? I can understand the fact that some people don't like disco music, but I find it concerning when someone is hating it with a passion.

10/10, great song - always was, always will be {#Dance}
Funky! {#Dancingbanana_2}

love it

I was two day's hike out of Pokhara Nepal in 1985 near the base of Annapurna South and decided  to stop for the night in a small village.  Walked into a smoke- filled "bistro" for something to eat and "Funky Town" was playing on cassette tape.  Seemed so out of place.  Thanks, RP, for taking me back so many years. Great song.

Loved hearing this! Just don't play it for another ten years.
I am Funktified and Funktabulous this song is playing.... if the fact that all the prior comments are 2008 and earlier then ABOUT TIME RP!
Right Funky On!

And by the way, Arriva:  Hip young couples dancing in their apartment is not sufficient reason to build more nuclear plants.    {#Stupid}

What the....?  Did I leave the TV on, and that annoying, enigmatic ad is playing AGAIN?  No, I didn't...it's...Radio Paradise...?!!

Disco STILL sucks!  Please no more on RP!
Hated disco then hate it now. 1 Barfo Town
Back in the day...  There was a Tshirt shop on the Wildwood, NJ boardwalk called "Funkytown".  While the store was open, they played this song NONSTOP!!!

{#Frustrated}

I got sick of it just wandering by from time to time during the course of the evening.  I feel for the poor souls who had to work there and listen to that loop all summer.  They probably had a high turnover rate.

Yikes, had to bail out of this one!  It's too early to resurrect disco... not enough time has passed... there might not be enough time in the universe... {#Angel}

i can't explain the fact that my first reaction to this was "aw... WTF?" then I go and turn it up. oh well.
Yes, we DO need more Nuclear power plants!... oh wait, this is a real song?
