Back and forth that voice of yours keeps me up at night
Help me search to find the words that eat you up inside
I go side to side like the wildest tides in your hurricane
And I only hide what is on my mind because I can't explain

What if I do, Lord?
What if I don't?
I'd have to lose everything just to find you
What if I do, Lord?
What if I don't
I'd have to lose everything just to find you

It's my turn this soul won't burn so throw me in the fire
Trophies earned and lessons learned, from wicked little liars
We could pave new roads with their cold gravestones,
And wind them through the pines
Should I stay or should I go alone? I cannot decide

What if I do, Lord?
What if I don't?
I'd have to lose everything just to find you
What if I do, Lord?
What if I don't
I'd have to lose everything just to find you

Rest in peace and power Taylor Hawkins.
RIP Taylor Hawkins

RIP Taylor Hawkins ...

Radio Paradise on as background at work. This is one of those "who is this" songs that make you look to see  ( and post comments)
I really like this song. I saw a comment heavier bands doing the obligatory slow song, and get that, but often there is an subtle and cool 'edge' to these kinds of songs by harder bands that I appreciate.
Dull.
First was Arcade Fire. Then the Foo Fighters. What's next...Smashing Pumpkins?

Where's the PSD button?

Ummm pretty sure Foo is not an eighties hair band.{#Rolleyes}

Point taken, but do you really like the song or are you just defending FF right to have a clunker if the album is good? "stupid" ? wow, that hurt.

You mean every thin?
I dislike almost every thin about this song.
This song is more grating with each listen... I drop it a rating point each time i hear it. I started it at 9. Foo Fighters havent been relevant in quite a few years...
you know, with all the great songs Foo Fighters have had over the years, why the hell do you insist on playing this dog over and over, day in and day out? what if...
What if I don't?

Would a Mr. Kurt Cobain please pick up the white courtesy phone?
You know being a great drummer is a wonderful thing. Too bad Grohl didn't stick to drumming, he's a monster drummer.

I was wondering if they were saing Carolina or Caroline...both! Lol... Carol is a good name...Hi, I'm CAROL! LOL

I must have not been listening close enough when I wrote this. Today I hear it loud and clear.

Yeah. I agree. I don't think it has been played more than some others. But it's the type of song that gets REAL old fast. Where is Sufjan Stevens when you really need him?

agreed, next?
Hmmm looks like it was played yesterday too

How can this song be so good? I thought this album was supposed to suck!

I rarely post any "geez I've heard this song too many times" whiny posts... but, I have to agree with creativebones. Feels like this has been on endless rotation lately. It's a good song, but overplay can add that stink to even the best song! Enough already. Bill, please it on the "bring it back in a few months" list (is there one?)

With any luck, still playing drums and not trying to sing.
this is a whimpy foo song

Is he from the Eagles?
I think he was the original bass player in Wings
Can't the fighters go find some foo to fight in a far away place so we can be relieved of this bilge water being passed as music?
great music ... but these great ideas only appeared in "the colour and the shape" i think
It sounds like a dirge for good music.

Decent song, but it's a little over played.

Agreed, I had to go up to an 8 from 7 today. I like it more each time. RP can play more Foo Fighters anytime.

I bought this album but never really listened to it much. Guess I'd better get on that. This song is awesome... might just replace Aurora as my new favourite Foo slow song.
I hear ya. Excellent acoustic 2nd disc, but, Aurora will still remain at #1...
I love Dave Grohl's voice! I love his musical style, too....I hate to say it but the breakup of Nirvana was the best thing that ever happened to him...

This is really good..something that I did not expect from Dave.He is a good singer,I don't care for the screaming song's from the Foo's.What's funny this guy is on the cover of Acoustic Guitar mag.for the August issue. He's more than a drummer obviously...

Is this the "meh" one? Because my first instinct was "meh".
This isn't the one, but since our tastes seem to be different then maybe you'd actually like the one that I went "meh" over.

The entire second CD of In Your Honor is fantastic from beginning to end. Only one "meh" song out of the bunch, and even that's not bad.

Sounds a little like Joe Jackson. But then, I've had a few beers, it's hot outside, you know the story.
The entire second CD of In Your Honor is fantastic from beginning to end. Only one "meh" song out of the bunch, and even that's not bad. I wish they sold the second CD separately, in fact, I listened to the first CD once and then put it away.
20 beaut songs for $15, now that's pretty guid value now jimmy!
Nice vocals.
Sweet song.

I love this CD -- especially the "buffallo ass" side -- this one -- where it is much more acoustic..
Ah! Love this! Carolina, Caroline...is that what he's saying? This song helped get me through a tough time last fall. Nice choice!
