When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here

I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here

Oh, oh

She's running out again
She's running out
She run run run run
Run

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here

There's been a disturbing trend of late, where great songs being covered by singers with "better trained" voices, employing all sorts of tonal gymnastics, but that fall far short of the soulfulness of the originals, leaving the experience shallow and flat.

Yeah, but is she believable as a weirdo? Thom certainly bests her there I would venture.

She has a great voice, and it starts well, but she just doesn't build the tension and angst the way Thom does, so whilst nice, I prefer the original.

Dare I suggest that likely, most listeners  do not consider the 'you' in this tune may very well be the target of the 'I' in the song's utter disdain and complete facetious attack on them?
(I could be wrong because well, I'm a fucking creep, just ask my dear sweet little angel says.)

Danielle has made this her own.
I think the reason this became RH's break out hit was that a lot of people really related to this sentiment.  I think it's powerful to a lot of those people, and maybe Ms. Ponder was one of them.  In that sense, it reminds me of Ray Charles covering "Being Green".

I like it.
Love this song by Radiohead and her amazing voice  just carries it on
What is today, the day of Ho Hum Cover Tunes?
Another boring cover of a great tune. It's just mildly okay. If you want to hear a great cover of Creep, check out Haley Reinhart's version. Its incredible. RP, why aren't you playing Haley's version?
Dang ❤️ !

She has the pipes but seem misused in this overwrought rendition.

She made that song beautiful. Fantastic cover.

Exactly my thoughts.
Like a modern day Great Gig In the Sky from Dark Side of the Moon
Wow.
Thank you Ms. Ponder for taking that leap.

Wow, nice version. Love the original but great to hear a version like this. Thanks RP, from one radiohead to another 😊

I'm not a huge Radiohead fan but they've put out some wonderful songs such as this. Danielle's cover is gut-wrenching. She now owns this song.
10 on the first listen. Good GODLIKE!

ANY cover is better than Yorke's whinny drivel...

*whiny.

...unless of course you think he sounds like a whinnying horse.
She made that song beautiful. Fantastic cover.
Excellent cover to one of my favorite songs.

This is nice, but I uploaded a version of this for consideration and got immediate rejection. What I offered, I think, is one of the most unique and fun interpretations of this song, or any song I"ve heard covered. Here's a link...https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

agree that this link is amazing - and i think it beats this one which sounds too "american idol"-ish to my ears. Macy Gray's version also great, they are always worth listening to.

blasphemy to my ears
Normally I really like covers that are radically different than the original, and I do love Radiohead - but I am not feeling this version at all

She was interviewed on WXPN World Cafe recently. What a fascinating and talented woman.

Certainly a better vocal range than Thom Yorke and a great stripped down version too. She may have bettered the original.

Excellent. The lady can sing!
LOVE this rendition.
This is compelling, powerful, and distinct from the original - in a very good way. Easy "7"
It's a nice rendition however, Macy Gray's acoustic version is out of this world.

I was floored the first time I heard this version, personally… but of course I was that band nerd. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Although pretty great, it's a very high bar.
