I\'m in the camp that cannot tolerate this person\'s voice. The tone hits a certain resonance in my ear that makes me cringe.
Tom McRae grows one me more and more each time I listen to the CD. To me that is the mark of a great album-its ability to catch your ear and mind with something new on every play.
Well, I have the opposite thought of Jester. I think that Tom McRae has the same whiny quality in his voice as the lead singer of Counting Crows, maybe more. I like the Counting Crows, and there are elements of Tom McRae that I like, but I find myself less tolerant of his voice. I think because I personally find the Counting Crows material more appealing. Still decent though.
Tom McRae has been gifted with a vocal quality that definately pleases the ear. Like Jon Anderson or the high falseto of Roger Hodgson of SuperTramp, Tom McRae\'s voice is instantly recognizable. Whereas other McRae songs aretop notched musical efforts, \"Bloodless\" is somewhat lacking. Not his best piece but worth the listen none-the-less. Cheers... :)
