It wasn't that bad. Its a small storage area that I am finishing in my attic and there were only two mostly full sheets to fasten to the ceiling. I had the help of my wife to lift and position, and I had nailed a 5/4 furring strip on one end the room to supprt one end of the sheet. I had also made T support to help prop it up once we had the sheet in position. Still, these muscles are usually on vacation.

I learned awhile back that sheetrocking is usually not worth doing yourself. A decent crew can do a whole house in one day, taped and floated.

...that carrying sheet rock up a flight of stairs is a good upper body workout. Not to mention lifting it overhead to fasten it to the ceiling. This was my activity yesterday, and I can feel it today.

I'm having the same experience with Quadrophenia, although it works much better in order from beginning to end.  While Tommy is a great achievement and definitely ambitious, and Who's Next is a great collection of songs, Quadrophenia sounds like the entire band is at their peak.  Moon never sounded bettter, and Townsend makes me want to pick up a guitar (although lack of playing ability makes me put it down immediately :) ).  Definitely inspiring.

Probably the same as myself. The Who got so much radio play when I was growing up that, aside from "Tommy" I never even had a Who album until I was almost 30.

Well, ok maybe it wasn't TODAY but recently....

I learned that my favorite album may not be Rubber Soul or the White Album, as previously thought.  Nor is it Wilco's Being There, which was always a close second on any list I made.  No, recently I heard Quadrophenia for the first time from beginning to end and I've been listening to it non-stop for the past week or so.

How did I deny myself the brilliance of this piece of work for so long?

I very rarely drink Coke so I won't go looking for it at a Mexican grocery store.  If my grocery store has it next time I go shopping, I may pick up a bottle for the heck of it but I usually drink diet soda.

Trader Joe's has quite a collection of cane sugar sweetened sodas. Theresa says they're pretty good.

Kosher Coke can be made with beet sugar or cane sugar. you really don't know which you're getting. but either way, it's much better than corn syrup.
for real cane sugar, try getting Coke from your local Mexican restaurant. it's imported from mexico and comes in 10 oz. bottles. check the label.

also, Pepsi makes two new products with cane sugar- Pepsi Natural and Pepsi Throwback. Natural is available now, not sure if Throwback out yet.
