re. mortgages...its a bit complex, but to the point of higher income/credit scores subsidizing lower income/credit scores, there is some truth to that. Yes, if you have a lower score you pay a lower fee, but the fee for the higher scores generally were increased more than those with lower scores.

As usual... you reposted Fox propaganda while conveniently ignoring the facts/details.

https://www.fastcompany.com/90...

It should be noted that Biden has nothing to do with FHFA pricingand that conventional mortgages (not backed by the government, meaning changes to the policy mean nothing ) were 82% of the 2022 mortgage market.

Stay angry, just like they want you.    Were you aware that Fox paid almost $800M for lying to you about the election?  You might wanna take a more skeptical eye to your news sources.

Here's the Awful Thing Biden Just Did to the Mortgage System

Because its hyperbole:

LLPAs (Loan Level Price Adjustment Fee) were introduced around the time of the 2008 financial crisis to help offset the risks borne by Fannie and Freddie Mac, the federally backed mortgage institutions overseen by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA).  "It's a way of insuring the taxpayers against borrowers defaulting on their loans," Zillow economist Orphe Divounguy said.

The updated fee only impacts homebuyers, and doesn't have any impact on people who already have a mortgage, or who own their homes outright. It also won't impact the roughly 40% of mortgages that aren't backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.

However, the changes are complex and don't uniformly increase LLPAs for people with high credit scores. Some people with good credit scores will see no change, while a few types of borrowers with high scores could see a slight improvement. For instance, buyers with a credit score of above 780, considered excellent, and who make a downpayment of 5% will see their LLPA decline by 0.625 percentage points.
"Those with reasonably high credit scores and substantial wealth choose to lower their down payments strategically in order to benefit from lower fees," he wrote

FHFA director Sandra L. Thompson said in a statement on Tuesday that the fee change is being misinterpreted and that the new payment structure is part of an overhaul that started in 2021 partly as a way to "maintain support for purchase borrowers limited by income or wealth."

"Higher-credit-score borrowers are not being charged more so that lower-credit-score borrowers can pay less," she said. "The updated fees, as was true of the prior fees, generally increase as credit scores decrease for any given level of down payment."

So are home buyers with higher credit score buyers actually paying more?

No, because those with higher credit scores are still paying less than those without strong scores, experts say. "Having a good credit score continues to confer an advantage under the new fee structure, although to a diminished degree at some levels of the loan-to-value ratio," Sethi noted.

But, as noted above, the fees have been cut for many types of borrowers with lower credit scores and raised for those with higher scores, meaning that the spread between the two types of borrowers is now narrower.

First off, people with higher credit scores are still paying lower fees, so it doesn't make sense to damage your credit score. Second, that can ruin your prospects of getting better rates for other loans, such as auto loans or credit card rates.

"The bottom line is if you have a higher credit score, you will pay less than someone with a lower credit score," Divounguy said.

Prove it, Pretzel Boy

Kurt: Trump's bungling of Covid alone make him the worst President ever. All his desperate efforts to stay in office make him the most criminal President ever. And neither Biden nor any future President will lie as much as Trump did. Trump was an immeasurably worse President than Biden could ever be.

Check out the graphic showing the number of  new daily Covid cases over the months of Trump's office, interspersed with quotes from Trump saying that Covid would disappear soon. This should get you to stop defending this turd and think.

'It's going to disappear': A timeline of Trump's claims that Covid-19 will vanish

And here, you can reminisce about all his lies! Good times!

Gosh, Kurt, you're getting lazy. You made the claim. Back it up.

Biden had classified documents that he should have handed back when he left office. Mike Pence was in the same boat. They cooperated fully and willingly.

He (Trump) was cooperating fully with the Nat Archives from day 1.

  x  1,000,000,000

I guess this another Trump scandal that you've been desperately trying to ignore.

Go listen to the recorded phone calls with Georgia officials, Kurt. Trump was told the vote count had been checked and certified. He was told that before and during the calls. It was OVER when Trump made those calls. And Trump knew it... Except that he thought he could get fellow Republicans to break the law.

If Alan Dershowitz said that in connection with the Georgia election results, Trump must be holding some serious $h!^ over Alan.

The amazing thing is that there are so many of these scandals when it comes to Trump. It should be painfully clear to you by now that the scandals and cases are not caused by a conspiracy against Trump. They're caused by Trump's rash stupidity and his contempt for the law.

You are a man... in search of a clue.

Legal team says DOJ has misled courts and public about reasons classified documents ended up at Mar-a-Lago, and legislation needed to fix lax security system.

The lawyers accused DOJ of misleading the courts and taking an aggressive posture even though Trump offered to let FBI agents search for records themselves without a raid.

"From the inception of this matter, rather than working cooperatively to ensure the return of all marked documents and correct any procedural failures, the DOJ team chose a path of aggressive combativeness," the lawyers wrote. "In doing so, it compromised the evidence, constitutional rights, and, in many instances, the professional ethics of its prosecutors."

The Justice Department "utterly failed to make an accurate presentation to the Magistrate Judge, thereby violating President Trump's constitutional rights against an unreasonable search and seizure," the lawyers allege. "DOJ likely concealed from the Judge that President Trump had offered his cooperation or that the DOJ team could have pursued a consensual search, as President Trump had essentially invited them to do."

.

A Trump representative, whose name is redacted in the Justice Department filing, asserts that "a diligent search" was conducted for documents at Mar-a-Lago removed from the White House and that "any and all responsive documents accompany this certification."

August 8, 2022

Federal agents execute a search warrant at Trump's Florida property, uncovering 13 boxes or containers with documents marked classified — "more than twice the amount produced June 3 in response to the grand jury subpoena." Trump was not at the property at the time, and media reports showed him at Trump Tower in Manhattan.

A photo released in a court filing later that month shows some of the seized documents with clear markings of "Top Secret" and "Secret."

Trump, in a post online, says the records were "all declassified" and placed in "secure storage." A day later, Trump, who continues to hint at a possible 2024 run for the presidency, cites the FBI search in a campaign fundraising appeal.

Creating them out of thin air is exactly what Trump was pushing to be done. He wasn't asking for a re-count or offering the funds to have that done. He wanted the count to be "magically"  altered. Nice try.

Also, he was not cooperating with the National Archives from day one. Because cooperation would not have resulted in the need to search his residence and discover docs that he said he had all turned over before... now would it?

Do you have links to back up the "some whistleblowers" story?  Biden turned over all the relevant documents in his possession and cooperated fully with authorities. From what I've read, Biden hardly those documents hidden. OTOH Trump lied about the documents in his possession, dragged his feet for months in turning them over and personally went through relevant boxes to pull out and conceal documents he wanted to keep!  Do let me know when you want to discuss Trump's recorded phone calls to election officials in Georgia.
