This was my neighborhood "Cheers' kind of bar/restaurant in my old Denver neighborhood, Platt Park. I spent many fun afternoons & nights here & one rather quiet New Year's Eve, 2010 (with two of my favorite people). Unfortunately it closed & was up for sale when the pandemic hit, so it's been closed over a year now.
We lived on Clarkson st. - Coffee at stellas (still there) and drinks/green chili at Pearl st. Grill (bought out years ago, not the same). There were lots of great spots in that neighborhood - margarita bay club, washbpark grill, Hemingways... there was a bar at downing and evans that I cant remember.
I lived on South Ogden 3 different times (long story). I've been to all those places, and of course Sushi Den. I live in Wash Park West now. Wash Park Grille is on Old Gaylord St. When did you live here?
I was on ogden just south of the highway ( 1421 s I think) in ~94. Bought our place on clarkson in 1997. Moved to seattle after the telecom crash in 2001. I loved that neighborhood. I used to live on vine near city park (Janitas / Peres kitchen) in the early 90s.
were we neighbors?
edit- 1476 s ogden. It was right next to the highway, but an easy stroll to the park.
I first lived on Ogden in 2003, so missed you but lived at 1500 at the corner of S. Ogden & Florida. So what, just up the block? Lived in that same house 2009-10, then a few blocks down in 2016-17. Still my favorite neighborhood but ended up buying in West Wash Park in 2017. Small world. Let me know if you ever get down here to visit, we can have coffee at Stellaâs. Clarkson is a lovely street.
Wow, I remember when they built that house. I lived in the south duplex one house south of you down the hill. I try to hit stellas when i roll through ( some of the money on the wall is mine ). We'll look you up next time through - my Dad is still in Evergreen and we have friends all over town (though they have moved to the far corners now)

NC closed all bars and restaurants on Tuesday. This bar is less than ideal, but it works for now. I invited a few old friends over; now if I could just get Yoda and Wall-E to stop bickering...
Probably fighting over the nabs... That Two Hearted is good stuff...

There was a bar that set on the side of the road in the middle of a curve. Their motto was for the ladies "You can't get cornered at Around The Bend" which was the name the owner came up with.
