This article is 4 years old but I'd completely forgotten about this. He batted .340 in Fresno last year. It's a paywall article so maybe Google is your friend? Anyway it's a really nice article.
Yorvis Torrealba, years removed from nightmare kidnapping, gets chance to follow in dadâs footsteps with Rockies
His was the first perfect game I was around for/aware of. Before that I didn't really have a handle on what it meant.
Oh wiki says he came within one inning of a second perfect game. Went 8 innings before giving up a double in the ninth...
Interesting stats: Alfredo Griffin was the first player in major league history to have started three times for the opposing line-ups in a perfect game: against Len Barker (Cleveland) in 1981 for the Toronto Blue Jays, then against Tom Browning (Cincinnati) in 1988 and Dennis MartÃnez (Montreal) in 1991, both for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
David Cone only threw 88 pitches in his perfect game.

Well the rats under the bleacher would appreciate it.
Yup weâll spoken nice guy and I liked the way he played. Still wouldnât have paid him for 11 years, but I called it in the Spring when negotiations went south.
Now if we can lose Chaim Bloom and the owner John Henry.

Turner went with Philly as far as I know. I didn't realize that Bogaerts speaks four different languages.

I initially was wondering whether Turner wanted to make sure he would play shortstop, but it appears Padres are moving Tatis to outfield (?). I believe Turner lives in Florida. I heard he prefers to be on East Coast.
Ex-Nationals of note: Harper, Turner, Schwarber (although only one season in DC) in Philly. Scherzer on Mets. Josh Bell on Guardians. Rendon on Angels. Nationals are in a major rebuild.

That is true regarding the Phillies. Turner and Harper are friends from their time in DC, which many feel was the real deciding factor. The Padres also offered Judge more than the Yankees.
Not sure what San Diego is doing...attempting to hoard all of the shortstops in the game?

I read that the Padres actually outbid the Mets for Trea Turner, but Turner elected to take less money and go with Mets.

Outbid by the Padres of all teams. 11 years I heard, which is crazy. Not sure how much of it is guaranteed. Any short stops in the fahm system?

From many sources I read or heard that Xander Bogaert has been talking to many owners other than the Sox front office which doesnât bode well for us.
