Well the sheriff arrived with 5 units and they seemed to shut it down... no permit.
They scaled back the whole party.
They parked cars through out the neighbor hood.
The music was turned way down.
Still a lot of people.

I guess these parties though out the valley are getting as popular as the Main Event, so the local paper says.

The neighborhood informant will be by soon and give me an update. {#Mrgreen}

Well it has arrived here. "The Coachella" Edition 2012.
Nicest weather ever.

The big estate home, three houses down the street from me, is hosting a huge party all weekend long.
They've been delivering stuff there all week long... pallets of drinks, porta potties, big umbrellas, band equipment, etc.
The neighborhood informant told me it's being put on by some "big internet company".
My neighbors are freaking out.
One oldster (older than me) is standing out in front of his house and shooing cars away from the front of his house. {#Lol}
Just wait until the band fires up this evening.

Well, we all missed a good one this year.(2008)
Roger Waters caused two controversies.
#1 During his performance, his big inflatable pig drifted off into the night sky. There was a $10,000 reward and passes for 4 people for all the coming Coachella's for the return of the pig! It was found by two couples that live in one of the hifalutin country clubs around here. It was torn to shreds. Of course. it missed my back yard.
#2 He hired a plane to drop millions of leaflets, saying... Vote for Obama, over the festival grounds. This was done against the wishes of the city of Indio. He did it anyway. The plane didn't take into affect the wind, and dumped the leaflets all over surrounding neighborhoods. There's a lot of angry people demanding the clean up. The local Obama people denied any involvement. Yep. Those old Pink Floydians are still causing trouble.
