From the dark end of the street
To the bright side of the road
We'll be lovers once again
On the bright side of the road

Little darlin' come with me
Won't you help me share my load
From the dark end of the street
To the bright side of the road

Into this life we're born
Baby sometimes, sometimes we don't know why
And time seems to go by so fast
In the twinkling of an eye

Let's enjoy it while we can
Won't you help me share my love
From the dark end of the street
To the bright side of the road

From the dark end of the street
To the bright side of the road
We'll be lovers once again
On the bright side of the road
We'll be lovers once again
On the bright side of the road

Probably because it is "Bright Side of the Road" and you are "Sunnyside of the Street."

Not to be confused with the Monty Python tune, "Always Look On the Bright Side of Life"
Is Olivia Newton-John singing here? Yeesh.
Solid good time music with a great bouncy melody.
If this song doesn't put a spring in your step....
Only 5 comments? Ok, let me add mine- Anything by Van the Man is an instant 8 at least. He is a national treasure.
Can we hear "The Bright Side of Life " next?
Well used when played over the closing credits of that Travolta, MacDowell, Hurt film "Michael".  It left one leaving the theatre with a bounce in the step (and pining for the aroma of a bakery ;-} ).
OUT VANSTANDING!{#Bananapiano}
Great to hear this one here.  There are several excellent songs on the album.

Always loved this song. Something basic about it.
