Geez I miss Boston (the city).

Fluffy!  That's ok - fluffy can be fun.

A bit like 'I can't believe its not Country'?

I feel as if every time I have RP on this gets played.

It's Seth Lakeman on fiddle, who's a rather well-renowned English fiddle player, where I'm concerned
Reminds me too much of early Taylor Swift.....I have to reset my clock for the night shift of RP——-YUCK!......Oh no here comes that Banjo stuff again.
This song reminds me a lot of Box Set.  I like it, but I think I need to dig out my Box Set CD now...
Gonna chime in and say I love the fiddle. But I'm a little biased that way.
Love her voice!
This is very The The - This is the day intro and refrain

Schoolbandish...

I have been to Greenville, SC.  Great town.  I have a friend that lives in Greer.  Seemed pretty progressive to me.  I was only in the artist's  square area, though.

A lot of "sounds like" comments here. To me, sounds like Julie Murphy/Eddie from Ohio.
Yummy.{#Hug}

Nearly anyone is too liberal for Greenville.  I hope you got over to the Handlebar a few times.  Some great acts appear there, the sort you hear here.
Thank you Bill.

That's what it is! Thanks.
And, yeah, probably too Canadian....

A little Dar Williams, a little Dixie Chicks.  Hummable and catchy.  Don't understand the negativity.
I was sitting at my desk thinking how much I liked this song, then read the nasty comments below, and just had to wonder (not about the music).

If that is all you can say by way of constructive criticism, it reinforces my view that some people should not make comments.

This is just a very uplifting song, and happily, I have the pleasure of associating it with a particularliy beautiful woman who graced my life. bless you Donna.

Me likey!
Thank you RP for introducing me to this group
? ? ?. . .
A local radio station played this song in the mid 90's before it was bought out by clear channel. I loved the song then but being musically ignorant about anything other than country and whatever random Celtic CD I picked up, I certainly wasn't up to tracking down underground rock. I almost memorized the song in high school and recognized it instantly on R.P...I can play it in my head now. Nothing more annoying than having a song stuck in your head for 10 years and not know what it is...underground rock gah! If they have to be so secretive could they be a little less addictive...
That lead singer makes me want to have a lenghty criminal record of felonious osculation with her.

Your ears must be man-haters.
10,000 Maniacs...Countrified?
The fiddles are making me like this song very much.

I'd agree with you in some respects, but this song is 8 years old.

Reminds me of Vienna Teng.
My number one band that I can't get on iTunes. After the Beatles, anyway. Grrrr.
never heard of them
never heard of 'em, but likin' 'em... go fiddles go!

Well, I guess you could try one of the Clear Channel clones, where they play the same set every seven minutes. Seems to me seven months is a decent enough hiatus. Then again, I'm an old fart. Maybe my clock just runs a bit slower... Nonetheless, this time Equation followed The Bangles and OK Go. Maybe Bill was listening. BTW, Equation is a British band, so perhaps the fiddles are in the British folk idiom, not merely our countrified twang, which seems to be objectionable to some. But what's wrong with a little twang now and then? I like my road apples as much as codswallop.

Then so is Alison Kraus and half a dozen other RP faves. The purpose of RP is to allow one to broaden her/his horizons.

mp3? wmv? Wha? Seems just right for RP. And quite likeable, in fact. I, for one, could use a LOT more bluegrass on RP. Hear my vote.
We need more of this, Bill. Nickel Creek too. Both could be classified as "Bluegrass" and the violin is very nice.........

Catchy.
This is one of those tunes that sticks to the inside of your head. I like it more every time I hear it. (but then, I'm a sucker for a tasteful minor move like the chorus has )
Kinda like Ani DiFranco-lite. But not in a bad way. Ani is cool, and so are these sirens.

There's only one DJ here. And sometimes a set really works. And 7 months and 7 days? Not bad. See, I just heard it 15 days later. And even that isn't bad, because this is the first time I've heard that particular combination. It all comes out in the wash, or something, is all I'm saying.
Wow, I just bumped this from a 4 to a 7. I must be in some kinda mood, but those fiddles sound excellent with that organ right now.

Not up to Mary Black or Loreena McKennitt, but very likable. At least she reminds me of both ladies.

A great song, great sound. Since I have been big on Dar Williams lately, this only fits too well.

Oh c\'mon ... she doesn\'t sound that much like Jewel, and its a rockin song.
yes, there is definately a COORS-esque flavour here, maybe a bit livelier. all in all, a most pleasing tune. love that fiddle too. :nodhead:
