Likewise - lots of energy.

I try to be open minded but, this is just noise.
The worst of both worlds
I'm getting a bit anxious, and not in a good way

I'm pretty sure that's a compliment. If it's not, it should be.

If you're going to take the lazy and uninspired route of simply copying and pasting your comment from one song to the next then you might want to be a bit more careful with your spelling.

It"s Enya, not Ennia.
Please don't play that again!
I've never walked over and turned RP off...till this one!! it is excruciating on the nerves!!
I've enjoyed other Afro Celt Sound System here though...
they're awesome live
Might be better at 33rpm

Nearly hit the PSD button in the first 5 seconds. Very glad that I didn't.

Certainly not something that I typically listen to, but one of the main reasons I listen to RP is have my ears opened to something different.

5 to 4.....4 to 3...and dropping quickly
just grating.......

Aye, and your point is what?
In 1 word: BEAUTIFULL music!!
I live in France, came from Holland, but this kind of music is so beautifull!

Oh no!

Annoying.
Truly amongst the worst things ever to enter my poor ears
Good for a change, but I doubt I could stand this kind of tune for more than 5 mins ...

So, it reminds you of the Yoshida Brothers then.

Actually Leprechauns are a type of Fairy there Fred. https://billknell.tripod.com/c/leprechauns.html
Thanks, Magnus. As it happens, now that I've bought a couple of ACSS albums, I now know that they're mostly Irish, not least because all the Gaelic lyrics are in Irish rather than Scots Gaelic, so leprechauns it is. ACSS has to be one of the most successful celtic + 'world music' fusions I've come across, and there are an absolute sack load these days in Celtic music. Highly recommend. 8 -> 9

No leprechauns in Scotland, pal. No shortage of fairies, mind, if Highland place names are anything to go by ;-)

ACSS are another fine example of the renaissance of modern Scottish music over the last couple of decades, following a trail blazed by Runrig and Capercaillie, combining traditional and modern Scottish, and a wide range of international, rhythms and sounds in very, very interesting and stimulating ways. Another fine example of a weird sound fusion that shouldn't work, but does, is Salsa Celtica. Anyway, 7 from the Nottingham jury, bound to rise with further listenings. With a few drams of fine malt inside me this would be an automatic 9 :*)
leprechauns on speed
Saw them this August at Deerlijk, Belgium - they were the best band I've seen in years - if you get the chance to see them take it.
Yup, ya gots to be there. Preferably standing about 50 feet front dead centre when they are in full flood
This kind of music is great when you're at Irish Fest, completely drunk, and dancing to your hearts content with a bunch of people who are doing the same. But when you're sitting in front of a computer, completely sober, and haven't been outside in 9+ hours...there's just something lost in the translation. Definitely not something I'd listen to on a regular basis. (But I sure can't wait for Irish Fest!!!)
Strangely compelling. I like it. Anyone else seeing the "Stonehenge" scene from This is Spinal Tap?
Great jumpin druids!
A cross pollination, with mixed results. Kinda alarming.
WOO HOO!!!
this is folk-techno
Sounds like that guy who did the Seinfeld theme song finally found some more work.
Oh god, what a greatful party-time music!
Wicked!

Does anyone know of any Irish bands that rock like this? I am a big fan of Celtic music (I'm German/Irish!) and like this very much!
Check out Kila...
damn it where are my Mickey Mouse hands.
The song is good but not one I'll listen to by choice. Hence a near-miss 7 rating.
This piece just doesn't wear well with me...
SWEET! :propeller.gif: \:D/
Too damn early in the morning for this one!
Ahr, the luck o' the Black Irish.
I picture a leprechaun dancing around on X with glow sticks in his hand.
Just love their energy!!! :-({|= :sunny.gif:

Try Shooglenifty. Don't know if I've heard them on RP. I first heard them on Brand X internet radio.

I have Afro Celts in my iPod and groove to them when I ski. Imagine hurtling down a black run on Breckenridge's Peak Ten with this booming in your ears. Pure heaven.

same group--they just changed the name. :-)

One of my favorite AC songs... makes me wanna get up and dance. Really fast ;)
Yes, they were massively hyped in many a market. And yes, after a while it all runs together like a fuzzy kilt in your ears. But every now and then, you just gotta tap your Irish-dancer-tippie-toes to some Celtic stomp...

Yaa-aa-aak!! Normally I dig world-y type stuff as long as it's semi-authentic ... but remixed up to a frenzied club pace, this stuff is just silly.

not bad :p
