Here in the low lands this reminds me quite a lot of Herman Brood, although I can't remember the specific song title right now. It's not a cover, is it?

Yes, now you mention it, I do! Wild Places was (I believe) a hit over here first and totally unexpected. I also remember Duncan Browne saying in an interview, he was such a lazy man. Maybe that explains why he remained a one hit wonder. Not that strange, you only remember Herman Brood as a person. He was truly a one of a kind character. Not to be repeated, I guess.

I remember Herman Brood, but I can't recall any of the music any longer. Along those lines, anyone remember (from 1979 or 1980, I believe) Duncan Browne? He had a song that got a fair amount of radio play on the remnants of what was by then the rotting carcass of progressive radio. Remember "The Wild Places"?

Yeah, Johray, I think you will be happy with your giving yourself another chance to reconsider Ben Harper. A very strong artist, with good, solid albums - excellent music with interesting lyrics. As a live performer, Harper is one of the best I have ever seen.

Okay heeb, I agree, I got a bit carried away ;) It was short after Brood commited suicide that I heared this song, which very much reminded me of him, so I wasn't that objective.
