I've seen Bruce live at least 5x, all in MN back in the day. Both solo & w/band. He's consistently brilliant live. Guitar master. Witty banter. So worth it.

Bruce Cockburn is one of the greatest of singer-songwriters:  a great poet who sings his poems.
He's in a league with the best (even those whom some say can't sing) like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Neil Young, IMHO.

I know this isn't true... but it FEELS like this song should give anyone goosebumps when listening to it.  I know its not true because I've played it for several people who were like "Meh... its ok".  I love it though. By far my favorite song of his.

I would usually agree, but this album is sublime genius. His vocal delivery is what bugs me, so I recommend his "Speechless" instrumental album. Great bass accompaniment on this album.
