seen these guys a month ago at outdoor venue.

freaking great show.

they really do still surprise you at times at live shows, which is difficult to do. 

fyi: this song is about gambling boats on Mississippi River in STL area. Remnant of their Uncle Tupelo days.

Interesting, while his voice is different than Rod Stewart, the tune sounds a lot like a Rod Stewart throw back, prior when Rod became "poppy."  The guitar work is fun.

I try to bring myself to rate at least one Wilco song under an 8 ... but I just can't. Their music is just too good. When Tweedy's vocals/lyrics aren't up to par, the band makes up for it, vice versa, or they're all dead on. And once you see Wilco live, respect goes through the roof.

Love the song, love the album. I think Wilco is great but I second the motion that Ghost is Born or YHF could have used a driving number like this one. I also recognize that's like asking the Cowboy Junkies to record a non-mopey song without Margo's voice. The difference being this song: Exhibit A in the case that Wilco could stretch if Tweedy still wanted to.

It's not Wilco's best - The lyrics are a bit underdeveloped ("Casino Queen/My lord, you're mean!") but it's got a great Stones-y groove. It was the sign of better things to come. Plus - I'm feeling much better now. A few minutes ago I had a fever and the only prescription was more cowbell. Problem solved. TJ
