You're not the man you used to be
I can tell that you still miss her
Mistress, lover, friend or fool
All offer you a shoulder.
Behind your back they're running scared
One look can show a hundred words
I think you're really searching now
While you glare and stumble on
The days they are escaping you.
If you reach a junction soon
You can ask for my direction.
Still if it's dark inside your room
There's no chance of my connection.
There's no chance of my connection.
I can tell that you still miss her
Mistress, lover, friend or fool
All offer you a shoulder.
Behind your back they're running scared
One look can show a hundred words
I think you're really searching now

Words escape me.
Very good! Listening blind I reckoned a possible Linda Thompson rocky number. Similar DNA. I could imaging Richard joining in.
lone justice?

Good tune! Another band that I never heard of before. Thanx RP!
Lyrics listed here do not match with the song.
I think the 1st 4 lines did, but not after that.

Very nice. And a bit reminiscent of Lone Justice. A good thing! Instant fan. New to me. Gonna Google them. Thanks RP!

Bill, next time you're going to play this one go ahead and kick me in the balls instead, and we'll call it even.

So what's wrong with this song? Why get worked up?

They would certainly fit right in at Cropredy, which I see they did in 2003 onwards. It seems to lack the clarity and finesse of Fairport in Dave Mattocks' days, but is certainly ok by me.
I like this cover art.
Nope.

Bill is pulling out the old ones! Love it!
This seems to be an RP rarity. With the ease of Spotify, I can now check these guys out. Fun!
Great tune.. I like it! Has a lot of layers in instrument and voice.
GOOD!

Rated a 4, but i didn't find this acceptable...
Even romeotuma covered his ears.......

Melody at the end = "I'm in the mood for a melody, I'm in the mood for a melody, I'm in the mood..."
Rhythm and key are totally off... but the melody is there.

well that was....forgettable.

How could you call this country?? Of course, how could anyone not smoking crack call Shania Twain country... I don't even think electric folk counts.
How about this? Let's stop trying to put music in little pigeonholes ("oh, it sounds a bit like Leon Russell with overtones of Kate Smith") but how about 2 categories - "Good" and "Bad"? I've found the spectrum of either of these range from Jazz to Country and Rock and all things in between and around them, and beyond. Take down the walls. Stop the brain-numbing record store categorization. This is becoming the death of music. If you don't fit one category, then you won't get played on Clear Channel. But no so here on RP, thankfully.
Rant over.

I don't think the crowd likes this one, Bill
That's because they aren't wailing like a fat girl for her lost unicorn.
Sorry, don't get the negative comments. Great band.
Sorry about my ignorance, but what the hell is this? is terrible!!
Hey! R those girls as pretty as The Corrs sisters?
This would be "uber hot" live.
Very Rocking Tune!
Yeeee Haaaaww. In a bad way.

Way below RP standards. I've heard every lick, beat and harmony performed much better by way better musicians. Over-produced and under-talented. Oh, and I didn't like the lyrics either.
I'm feeling a bizarre Roxette vibe with this song.
Na na na na na...
radio paradise, where you hear music that no one else plays...and in the case of this song...you learn why.
Kev's right, kids. MACARENA!!!!

I always think this is the Macarena when it first starts and cringe.
Hmm, my first association was Dire Straits. Untill the voice started of course.
Quite acceptable ...
These guys are good! Nice variety of sounds on their songs.

Change your dealer...
Nice segue after Hornsby.

I'd call it more electric folk than country, but I like Moxy Fruvous, so what do I know? :)
If you think this sounds like country, then you must not listen to much country music. I happen to be a big country fan (real country, not that hybrid pop/country junk) and I dont see it in this song. However this tune is enjoyable to a degree.
emeraldkim: "That's Triumph, the attack dog comic."
I'm sorry, but it's Triumph the insult comic dog.
Sounds too country for my tastes. Yucko
