I'm mixing business with leather
Christmas with Heather
Freaks flock together
And make all the b-boys scream

All right
Turn it up now
All right
Turn it up now

Word up to the manthing
She's always cold lamping
Visine at the canteen
I just wanna watch you dance

Do you wanna ride on the Baltic Sea
I'll be your mistress C.O.D.
I'll comb your hair
Re-write your diary
Pour champagne on a honey bee

She can really do me
She can look right through me
And make all the b-boys scream

I'm mixing fitness with leather
Homework with Heather
Freaks flock together
And make all the lesbians scream

All right
Turn it up now
All right
Turn it up now

LOVE this one. great album, too.
Titel spells: Mixed Bizness
Album: Midnite Vultures
Groovy beat, baby, fun sounds. That is, if one likes tunes mixed in a test tube with six other bastardized musical recipes.  Lemme offer a 4.

Define "fake funk". Either it's funk or it isn't.

I keep finding myself digging the same songs as Super Stud Romeo Tuma.
The sound at the end of the song... I always though it was a sound clip of Terminator dying.
Please never again.
Faux rétro '60s funk had sex with someone's hip hop daddy. Beck is eclectic, but this sounds like a goof.

The song isn't that bad, but what the HELL is going on at the end?! It's just a bunch of racket and my ears don't like it.

Same here—sounds better to call it funk than disco but we all know what's going on here.  I guess I didn't play it loud before but having done so I had to knock it down a few notches—it's now on my list of songs that I wouldn't miss much if I never heard it again.:)
Beck does Robert Palmer/Prince funk.
I checked in first to see if this was some wild, unheard of World Party cut. Always surprised when I find out it's Beck, as I never listened to him much upon his arrival.

Thats cause you got whiskey.gambling and women!

This sounds a lot like some of Beck's other songs.
I believe I recognize this from "Robot Chicken".  Just saying...  Good show.

I haven't heard much Beck stuff, but this guy is a frigg'n musical genius.  His musical style varies, but for some reason I can usually identify him right away, it just grabs me ....

I dig the wacky lyrics.  How is it I have never heard this track before?

Wow, right out of left field — This is awfully far down the list of Beck tracks I'd expect to hear on RP.

Another example of how Beck can pull off almost anything.

No offense, but "right out of left field" is exactly what I'd expect to hear on RP.

Sometimes kicking the anthill coaxes lurkers into the fray.  I think we need "Love Shack" by the B-52's after this one... {#Dancingbanana_2}

Is Beck jamming with the Scissor sisters lately?

Nope, this is Funk. There are some BIG differences.
#1 Funk is cool.
#2 Disco sucks.

Agreed.
This entire album is THE soundtrack for hedonistic parties.
There is a bit of disco to this, but the entire CD is sexy and fun. {#Sunny}

I read somewhere that that was what it's supposed to be, actually.
Why does he think he needs to recycle the worst of the Disco era?

it beats the hell outta Sea Change, unless you're terminally depressed...
Completely disagree. I admit that's an album for certain moods, but even in uptimes it's enjoyable to listen to. Sea Change was transcendent for Beck...you can't lessen it just because it captures a sadder time in his life. This, on the other hand, is just good, nothing more.

usually love beck, but this is SOOOO annoying!
Beck is so versatile that you can love, hate and feel indifferent to his work depending on the piece. This one is a \"hate\", but I love almost all of SEA CHANGE.
seriously- when i\'m at work and need a pick me up- i dont think it gets any better than a good dancing Beck tune!
The more I hear this, the more I want to shake my booty....
Can\'t stop dancing!
nobody does it better than beck do you wanna ride on the baltic sea?

Come to think of it he sorta SOUNDS like David Spade on this one, but it stills kicks ass. (pimp)
Still groovy
Really Groovy
Somebody called \'Midnight Vultures\' \"the best Prince album in a decade\". I can see why. Groovy.

i agree with you, drover. though i like "jack-ass" the best. this one seems to get played an awful lot on f.m.
Okay, I just don\'t know what to say. I can\'t stand Beck. Why do I kinda like this groove. I hate disco. This sounds a little discoish. So, why do I kinda like this groove. Surely it\'s just an auditory illusion. It\'ll pass.
That crazy Beck!! LOVE IT!!
Great track. Picked this CD up in a delete bin. By far the best delete bin find yet for me.
Go Beck! :D
That intro got me hooked right away, but I could do without the falsetto chorus.

Yes! Definitely play more Beck. Not my fave Beck song but it shows that wierd eclectic style that is Beck
Was there a time Earth Wind and Fire were a garageband? That;s what it sounds like! :p
