Both bands rocked. I grew up musically in the 70's at the Stanley.
Man, I thought you were referring to the Stanley Theater in Utica, NY. Great theater. I'm not too proud to say that among more illustrious artists (Dylan, Dave Mason, many more) I saw my first concert there. Yes, it was Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show in 1972. And I took my older sister's hot friend. Thanks for the memory!

Wow! The Stanley Theater! I saw many amazing concerts there and have many fond memories of that theater (at least, I think I do). I once met Frank Zappa at the backdoor of the Stanley as a friend and I were walking home after his concert.
Their first two albums were brilliant and the third had some great moments. One of the most under-rated bands. Tremendous players and with Alan Parsons involved on the first two there was some very magical moments- very ambitious. The band also played on a lot of the tracks on the first Parsons album Tales...

Me hearing the start of this one: "This isn't actually RP playing Ambrosia is it"? Kind of amazing which tunes will-and-won't be played by an artist. This was painful. But I guess "How much I feel" was just too overplayed for decades.
I saw countless shows at the Stanley when I was in college. I haven't thought of that place in years.

It's a great song. I can appreciate it even more now than when it first came out, which is the ultimate test!

Ambrosia fused symphonic art rock with a slick produced pop sound, resulting in a "melodic prog" style.
Early on, the band was infatuated with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and began to experiment with vocal harmonies. After the group attended a show at the Whisky a Go-Go in December 1969 to see an unknown but highly recommended new band called King Crimson, their perception of music was changed.

I now can totally recall this amazing song, that fabulous album cover, and so many many once-dear things I'd almost forgotten about that particular configuration of stimuli, probably unique, in The Whole Freaking Universe...

Always liked this tune but what an awful, abrupt ending.
Saw Ambrosia last night (three original members). Very enjoyable show. I always liked the first album and even the Top 40 love songs have a touch of class that I appreciate more as I get older.

Thank you Bill! One of the most beautiful songs ever written, definitely one of my favorites. This whole album was a landmark. Cool thing to know about this, Alan Parsons Produced this (Dark Side of The Moon too). The only american record Alan Parsons ever produced.

Wow, blast from the past! Loved this album, but then they kinda went downhill as they say. I found their later albums not as appealing or interesting from a musical standpoint.
Great song, like bumping into a good friend from long ago. Always hated the name "Ambrosia". If The Dan hadn't already taken it, I would have called them "Pretzel Logic".
Time to bring this back for a "Cheesy" guest appearance. I must be holding on because I really liked (and still do like) this song. Bill, put on your NSA hat and see this post (a "one man" petition).
