Bring me home
To this house of many days
Just lay me on the floor
Hard and cool as slate
You know I love it more and more
Than before I ran away
It triggers off so many hurts
Hurtful words and broken plates

I've been lied to
Now I'm Fuzzy
I've been lied to

All and all
The world is small enough for both of us
To meet upon the interstate
Waiting on a train
And just when those big arms lift up
Fall in love with no time to say it

And I would have liked to
Now I'm Fuzzy
I would have liked to
Now I'm Fuzzy
Fuzzy now

Here we are
In our car
Driving down the street
We're looking for a place to stop
Have a bite to eat
We hunger for a bit of faith
To replace the fear
We water like a dead bouquet
Does no good does it dear

And I've been lied to
Now I'm Fuzzy
We've been lied to
Now we're Fuzzy
Fuzzy now
Lied to.

Good song and a good name for a cat!
i had a cat called Fuzzy.
Blew me away when they warmed up REM in Bris-Vegas so many moons ago. Fuzzy and Mighty Joe Moon both come out regularly but I also get into Jubilee and Copperopolis from time to time. I distinctly recall the keyboardist going absolutely nuts when I saw them on their own touring Jubilee as they played My, my, my. I still tend to hear the extra layers and enthusiasm whenever I play that tune.

Well, the album is called "fuzzy"

Why don't I have any of this music in my library?   Gotta change that.
Take the marbles out of your mouth, sit up straight and sing clearly.
For a brief moment I thought this was "Across the Universe."  Nice song, very mellow.
I like this! Sounds like a mix between John Lennon's voice and James' voice. Good combination.

Funny, since in other songs his voice sounds so much like Jakob Dylan.
my number 78-93.... Love the 'Buffalo'

Really like this song; would love it if RP added Teardrop and Jupiter from this album to the play list.
So, is he trying to make his guitar sound like his voice or vice versa?

I now have a good read into your comments and ratings.  To each his own, I guess.  Hard to believe.... but....

interesting sounds and vocals
This is the song that the other one on the RP playlist sounds like by some other group, which of course I forgot!  :)       This one much better...
This reminds me of a place I've never been, like Arizona or somesuch.  In a good way.
So: who does Bill like better, GLB/P or PT? If you don't know what I'm talking about, Wecome to RP. {#Tongue}

I fully agree!  Love this song.  I saw Grant Lee Phillips perform a couple years ago in Solana Beach - AWESOME set!  (Especially "Mockingbirds").  Met him after the show - very sweet guy.

Grant Lee Buffalo = Grant Lee Phillips' band in the '90s.

<shrug> The guy, to me, sounds like John Lennon, and as I've never liked John Lennon's work, that makes me reach for the mute button. I'm not sure how many "levels" there are in that opinion.

It's a sad day when, like today, I'm hitting the mute button on RP more often than not. Ah-ha - the Charlatans are on next, which will get me bopping in my chair. TFFT!

i thought that was awful,

Yup, compels me to hit the mute button. Sounds a hell of a lot like John Lennon, which for me is not a good thing at all...

Someone has been listening to Marc Bolan and T Rex's Electric Warrior.
This is my favorite Grant Lee Buffalo song! Thanks, Bill!
Such nice lyrics, such nice melody, such nice song ... 9 easy Oscar
I believe this was on the With Honors Soundtrack... that was a bad ass soundtrack, as I recall. Was that 1994? My lord I'm feeling old.

Brings back a lot of good memories for me. Learned about GLB just after moving to Caliornia and was one of the first new CDs I bought when I got here way back in (gasp) 1993.
Grant Lee was one of the "Special Guests" at Aimee Mann's Christmas concert here in LA on Dec 9th. He helped out on a few traditional Christmas songs, but the real treat was when he & Aimee's band performed "Truly, Truly", which he noted Grant Lee Buffalo had performed "10 years earlier, under this very roof". Excellent way to start the night. I ended the evening in even better fashion, proposing to my lovely girlfriend.
Haven't heard this in a while....I've always liked this song and album. Thanks for playing!
Bit of a dirge, this one, and the falsetto is unconvincing. I've heard better from yer man...
Pretty good. If you like the sound of howling cats.
It's the first time I hear it... and it is absolutely great. undoubtlessly "Godlike". THANK YOU!
