YES! $35 for pre-adolescent bathroom jokes in blue greasepaint. "Cool!"
I had the pleasure of seeing Blue Man Group live in their hometown of Boston last year. Was a fantastic show. Their CDs are good, but the show will blow you away.
Poo-man group?

Those of us who are still waiting for a "Stomp" CD. It might make more sense after you strap on your favorite drum (I like bass) and march down a street (or football field) with a hundred or so of your best friends, making a bit of noise in 4/4. It's a percussion thing.

Damn fine percussionautical engineering

I thought the music was boring when I heard it performed live at the Charles Street Playhouse. It doesn't sound any better on the radio. Please stop it.
In the name of God, please stop. Who in their right mind EVER thought that banging on PVC pipe would sound "great" on a CD? This novelty act has officially wrung every last drop of commercialism out if its trite existence. And to those who think this is "drumming" please wake up. The good folks behind Wrigley Field on Sheffield and Waveland can bang better than these dolts.

And here i thought it was an attempt to channel Lady MacBeth. :-)
I agree. This works better live. The recording sounds like "Safri Duo" playing on waste pipes
bleeeeeech.
Prop Music from vegas no no no no

Saw Blue Man Group live at the Luxor in Vegas this past summer. (They've since moved to the Venetian.) This music works much better live.

Yeah. It's the Intel tetratonic scale. Don't you know ANYTHING, Mozart?

Knock yourself out. ;) "Although I'm no musician, and have no musical training, I could get out my drum machine and make something equally appealing."
I loved their show in Astor Place in the 90s, but I find the whole Blue Man Group as a band (and a franchise) thing quite cheesy.

Whip it out, buddy! These guys are rich!
SWEET!!

In keeping with Blue Man Group's status as corporate shills, this song, and indeed all Blue Man Group numbers, should end with the Intel five-note musical logo.

Change the station, perhaps? (Obviously, I disagree as they have not gotten UNinteresting to me....)

Couldn't agree with you more. Took the words right out of my keyboard....
I saw these guys live. They made my wife cry. Pretty scary stuff. Had to leave early.

The rhythm and tone of the first part of this song really reminds me of the old Batman theme...
They are SO COOL live!
I didn't even have to look up to see if this was Blue Man-LOVE these guys....the energy level is much needed!
After seeing these guys perform, I'm always excited to hear a song on RP by them. I can see why some folks might not be so moved. If you saw them, you'd understand. GREAT show...GREAT band backing them up. Just awesome!

If the album art were shot from a diffferent angle, you'd see the guy on the left is wearing cutoffs.

More Blue Man Group anytime.
DRummers RULE!!!!! Awesome!

mega bucks in BMG's promoter's pockets

Finally, a BMG tune that works! Sure, it ain't no "YYZ" but it's still a decent jam.

Eh, I'm sure it's better with the visual, but just the music is kind of dull.
I have to agree that this is more performance art than musicianship. But they ARE really fun to watch.
Most definitely a VISUAL group. Saw them live, and they rocked. But if you don't have the visual experience to refer to, I can see how you might be bored. Incredible, high-energy show!

yeah but rush is more annoying. what am i SAYING? these guys are even MORE annoying than rush. they are painted blue.
what a load of over-hyped gimmickry. a solid 5.

These guys made Vegas bearable for me. Oh yeah... Coronas helped too!
Eh, I'm sure it's better with the visual, but just the music is kind of dull.
This doesn't do anything for me w/o the visuals. But it's got a good beat and you can dance to it.
Neat.
Are you sure this isn't Rush's "Exit Stage Left?"

Suddenly, I feel compelled to upgrade my processor. Their Vegas show is still the highlight of my BMG experience, though I've heard Beantown's a blast too. Words can't describe how fun and exciting the show is. Not your typical concert, to say the least. Solid tune.
Caught the traveling rock show (entitled The Complex) as the tour moved through Minneapolis. The bill in our venue was BMG, VenusHum and Tracy Bonham. Yowza. Words alone cannot possibly do justice to the energy I felt as part of this audience. It was my first live BMG show (and I can say with certainty it will not be my last!) Same goes for VenusHum (I'll try uploading some VHum once Bill gets the upload thing working again :) ) -T
wife and i saw them in Vegas last fall. if you ever ever ever get a chance to see them perform live, you will NOT be disappointed. very very cool

Thanks, Kevin, great show! I only have two words for you....headphones!
PVC never sounded so good.
I stand corrected -- it is short, but sweet (although I think when I heard it here, it was even shorter than normal.) And ladyj, you are correct -- the tunes are much more exciting live. If it's not too late, try to catch them in Detroit: The Complex Tour I'd expect soniablue will be there...

I was going to say the same thing but you beat me to it. Although I have never seen them live I was thinking that seeing one of their shows would make all the songs seem good.
