She's got a face that shows that she knows she's heard every line
Tenderly she talks on the phone
There's a way to walk that says "stay away"
And a time to go around the long way

A girl in trouble is a temporary thing
(temporary, temporary, temporary, temporary)
A girl in trouble is a temporary thing
(temporary, temporary, temporary, temporary)

There's a time when every girl learns
To use her head
Tears will be saved
Till they're better spent
There's no time for her to be afraid
So instead
She takes care of business
Keeps a cool head

A girl in trouble is a temporary thing
(temporary, temporary, temporary, temporary)
A girl in trouble is a temporary thing
(temporary, temporary, temporary, temporary)

She's got a face that shows that she knows she's heard every line
Tenderly she talks on the phone
There's a way to walk that says "stay away"
And a time to go around the long way

A girl in trouble is a temporary thing
(temporary, temporary, temporary, temporary)
A girl in trouble is a temporary thing
(temporary, temporary, temporary, temporary)
A girl in trouble is a temporary thing

Is the RV sax player the same guy from the Lost Boys movie??  Lost Boys sax player
I've always liked this song, and still appreciate the surreal sax, the Roxy Music-style keyboards, the excellent singing and clever, biting lyrics...
grow up man
WOW, this chick was fat...

just say i hate sex , I mean sax
Silly, irritating saxophone in this song.

Have to disagree. This guy was an incredibly talented musician. I can't imagine this band's music without his work on every song they recorded.
This is great

I think the solos are good, but that little main riff is a bit much.

Never really paid attention as to how prominent the sax was as an instrument in the 80s.

Haircut 100 and Men at Work had loads of saxophone in their songs too.

Love this pad, which synth is that? Matrix-12? Prophet VS?
This reminded me of a great summer day, driving through Atlanta with the t-tops off the car listening this album with not a care in the world.

Almost all music of any era can be considered "dated".

Just cause it's dated doesn't mean it can't be catchy, or Most excellent!  The set pretty much sums it up:
Eurythmics "Missionary Man"
Tori Amos "Glory of the '80's"
Romeo Void "Girl in Trouble"

Glory of the '80's indeed!

Please put "Just Too Easy" from this album into rotation - Grazie!

Fun little song! {#Dancingbanana_2}
Saw them in Eugene in the early 80's lots of energy and sassy! great memory
A girl in trouble is everything.
Silly, irritating saxophone in this song.
Debora is now a teacher at Desert Hot Springs High school here in the Coachella Valley... California.
I think she lives in the town of Joshua Tree.

Dumbest comment I've read in a long, long time.

Wow.  Lotta hate for Romeo Void... I always liked this song (however not as much as "Never Say Never")

"Never Say Never" got massively overplayed. After about the third time I heard it, I concluded that someone in the band was too enamored of the singsong quality of the line "I might like you better if we slept together" and built a mediocre song around it and the wailing sax parts. Aimee Mann had similar bad habits while she was in 'Til Tuesday (some sort of OCD need to throw the words "downtown train" into songs over and over).

First time listen...this ain't bad, but I think I would have tired of it pretty quickly if I'd heard it on a regular basis.
Haven't heard this is 30 years! Love that you dug it up.

Outstanding 80s tune I never thought I'd hear on RP.
Excellent album. I always felt this band was underrated for it's time.
Excellent song choice to follow Tori Amos' "Glory of the 80s"

Always liked Romeo Void and even saw them play a few club dates.

I had this album. The sax was what made the songs on it for me. A guilty pleasure. Nice to hear it here.
 agree there fella, and it's the first time I've heard it {#Stop}

This should be on one of those WB shows. Ocean pop.
This is a stark reminder of how selective you had to be when listening to music in the 80's. This insepid, boring drool of a song ruled the airwaves while we desperately tried to get hold of REMs Reckoning, because someone told us one of the best rockn'roll songs ever was on that LP ((Don't Go Back To) Rockville). I still listen to Reckoning, and Rockville is one helluva song. REM is still around, Romeo Void only a distant memory. Come to think of it, there might be some justice in the world after all... :sunny.gif:
My buddy bought this EP in the early 80's while at Purdue. A couple of great songs (this one and "I might like you better if we slept together") with prominent sax. Great memories... Boiley
Sounds like she recorded this in the cafeteria kitchen and they put the microphone in the gymnasium.
Tedious.

Maybe, but she can damn well sing. Debora Iyall. I've seen larger opera divas...

Romeo Void! Gee, I haven't even thought of this band in ages. Reminds me of a certain summer in the early '80s listening to KROQ at Newport Beach.
yuck...first 99 Luft Balloons by Nena and now this? Let this song die a natural death. At least you could have played something a bit edgier by them like Never Say Never.
Some 80's songs have aged remarkably well. This is not one of them.
YAYYYYY!!!
WOW, this chick was fat...
Didn't like them in the 80s, dont like them now.
Romeo Void was one of the best bands of the 80s. I thought I had missed out on that whole era but I guess I hadn't afterall, huh NWG?
Saw them on the VH1 show Bands Reunited. Never really listened to them in the '80s. Definite period style, but good none the less. Too bad the lead singer was ostracized for her physical appearance; her voice is too good to overlook.
'80s fluff, but I like it just the same.
A nice bit of retro pleasure!
This song is a nice surprise... how about \"Never Say Never\" or \"Undercover Kept\"? :)
I\'m so impressed... Romeo Void. An 80s staple!
