I know it's late
I shouldn't call at this hour
But yet, my fate
I need lips to devour

My nervous system is shot alright
I won't sleep unless you
Sleep with me tonight
Deep with me tonight

I know it's late
We've known each other a while
I can't wait
To see your twisted smile

Kindred spirit of candle light
I won't sleep unless you
Sleep with me tonight
Deep with me tonight

And my thought to my saint
I'm so tired but I faint
Sleep with me tonight
Sleep with me tonight

Drown out the machinery in my head
Bring your peace of mind to my bed
Without sleep there are no dreams
Without dreams, we fall apart at the seams

Kindred spirit of candle light
I won't sleep unless you
Sleep with me tonight
Deep with me tonight

And my thought to my saint
I'm so tired but I faint

Sleep with me tonight
Sleep with me tonight
Sleep with me
Sleep with me tonight
Sleep with me
Sleep with me tonight
Sleep with me
Sleep with me tonight
Sleep with me tonight
Sleep with me tonight

Remember when David Lynch was producing Julee Cruise? At an aural glance this listens like it could have been a lost track from Into the Night... the vocalist, soft-edged industrial production, and the lyrics. Of course there's a lot more informing this track as well, and it is entirely its own thing. But personally, love that it made me think of the Into the Night disc. Thanks.
Great Album! Don't miss the second one - "Extraordinary Ways".
Like the song but not this version.......at least this time it's played at 11:44pm
Playing a song like this at 7 a.m. is just plain wrong.
Usually when you hear "sleep with me tonight" it doesn't elicit visions of a nap. This sure does. Sexy? Hardly. More like soporific.
Liking the tune but the girl's voice bothers me. Makes me think of Tatu, as do the lyrics. Simplistic, but not too bad anyway. Give it a 6.
The non-remixed version is better... I'd love to see another Conjure One album, but I don't know if it'll happened now that Delerium is back together (and producing stuff like Chimera -- ugh) Edit: A new Conjure One album is coming in Spring 2005! Rejoice! It is tentatively titled "Season Are Now" Edit #2: (click here) has some more information.
OK OK I'll be right there, darling!
This rises far above the avarage for me. A 9. It may be a bit dreamy, but I don't mind. I like it.
Let me tell you this track conjured with a good read, a beatiful companion and an excellent cup of colombian coffe to make a perfect moment. One of those that make life worth living. Thanks, RP. Alex
Good lord, does it get more boring than this?
This is one of the weaker tunes on an otherwise excellent CD, and I still give it an 8! Anyone know if there's going to be another Conjure One album? (Conjure Two, perhaps? )

9:50 AM, in the Midwest, USA, on a cold Friday payday, just had a cup o' joe, still... good tune.
Very nice... very dreamy.
Despite the interesting music and dreamy atmosphere, the lyrics are bad...bad...bad.
This song reminds me of the beach.
Why are the two albums listed on this page a Postal Service single and a Jeff Foxworthy album? Oh, and
Much enjoyed this one. Sometimes it gets hectic here at work and a track like this can take the edge off. Thanks guys. :nodhead:

Agreed. Cool, though. I'm digging this tune.

wow, so many comments for this song...I saw Conjure One opening for Delerium in Toronto....such an awesome show...
Actually the talent behind Conjure One used to be a member of Delirium.

Thank you thank you thank you for playing this. This is beautiful. This is as sexy as it gets. Her voice sounds like Honey.
Couldn't agree more--This is absolutely lovely...quite serene...

is this music for a filler scene yet? :P
wow....
wAKE ME UP WHEN YOU ARE DONE...
This coupled with the Sigur Ros song that preceded it is enough to make me want to actually find something constructive to do at work.
The song's too long...and boring.
i really wish this song was instrumental. i love the music, but the lyrics are so soul-crushingly vapid...
Sexy.
The guitar line is David Gilmore-esc.

Yeah, tell me about it. I bought the CD to hear that song, and I almost went bonkers when the version was different. Ok, so where CAN i get this version?
OK, I found it. It's on the UK Edition's bonus CD. It's really called: Sleep (Solarstone Afterhours Mix)

is it me, or does this song get played WAY too much for its level of mediocrity...?
nope. this is pretty subpar in my book too.

I've never heard this version of the song. It's much slower and relaxed than the CD version. I must say that I like this one better.

I changed my mind. I can't stand this song anymore.
It's so beautiful! :) I've never heard her before but she's got a very lovely sweet voice...however I love this kind of music...it helps me get creative and artistic. :)
i changed my mind. this is a great song.
What silly lyrics. They (not the music though) remind me of an 80s song called "Obsession".
You are an obsession You're my obsession Who do you want me to be To make you sleep with me
Similar "innovative" and repetitive. *yawn*

I'm sure its very effective for her, but when I try that line at the bar it really doesn't go over well. Must be my delivery.

As much as I hate replying to my own post but I just have to say thanks Bill!! You're now playing Pink Floyd's Echoes after!!
This is happening already again. There are many more great track in the RP music list. Many even not played once.

Oh, man. I don't care what they say about it being overplayed. This is still one of the sexiest songs on RP.

I prefer the song from the Simpson's: "Bunk With Me Tonight" :p
Absolutely!
I think that for some reason I want to sleep with her tonight...
Reminds me of \"Dreamweaver\" from the 70\'s. The vocal performance cheapens it somehow. It doesn\'t suit the atmosphere of the song?
Hot in here... Is it the heat wave or is it this song? No it\'s the song... \"no, no, it\'s not late... kindred mind\"
yawn!

very hypnotic sound....soothing....what a sweet voice. sounds like many different singers, yet still unique. play more!!

\"Sleep with me tonight\" Man, what a great thing to hear a woman say. \"Let me pack a toiletry bag, and I\'ll see you in ten minutes!\" ... Unless she literally means \"sleep,\" in which case, I would have to recommend she gets a dog, maybe a Lab. They like sleeping on the bed.
This isn\'t the Conjure One track with Sinead vocals. It\'s actually Marie-Claire D\'Ubaldo (from Argentina?). But what version is this? It\'s not the album track or even the remix that comes on the second CD. This is much nicer!
Sinead O\'Connor never sounded so good! Plus I like the David Gilmore-esque guitar. Most Excellent!
this is nice and relaxing
New to me. Veeeerrryyy soothing.
Reminds me of Loreena McKennitt, Mummers\' Dance, but better and slower.
