Whatever you do....Don't drink the Kool-Ade!

Keep the Faith, whatever that may be...
Can this be our new theme song?
Thought this was the Squeeze (Difford/Tillbrook) because of the octave-displaced harmonies.

I like it, I hardly noticed its repetition, great beat!

This is really fun! Quite different from the other Dandys songs I know...
Thomas Dolby and then this. Points for the mix!
(what's next I wonder?)

No, but from Blinded me with Science, a great segue nonetheless
there are 16 y.o. comments on this thread. That is amazing, in this era of 2 year software lifecycles. Also, Science. But also soul baby.

And after that, "She Blinded Me with Science".  Maybe segue into "Rocket Man" or "Major Tom"?

We just segued from She Blinded Me with Science today. Maybe someone out there heard you.

So who would want to listen to a song with one primary lyric, we've got to live on science alone? Is it just because you like the band?
Irony?
Say what you want, but there ain't no song like this for the graduate student stuck in the cell culture lab ...
Whatever happened to the Dandy Warhols a la "Thirteen tales from urban bohemia"? :-s This is so sad. :(
I'm having a hard time believing that someone actually wrote these lyrics. "We've got to live on science alone" ... are you kidding me? Maybe he's making a religio-cultural statement here that means forget living according to some spiritual dimension, we need science alone. But even so, how boring. The only people who might think like this are scientists so heavy into their field that they have blinders to the rest of existence. Even entirely unreligious or antispiritual people can understand a romantic relationship, a good game, a fine glass of wine, having kids ...fill in your own blanks. So who would want to listen to a song with one primary lyric, we've got to live on science alone? Is it just because you like the band?

Actually, very MUCH like this. I was wondewring if this was some kind of homage to Thomas Dolby. There is the Oingo Boingo sound in there, too.
indubiltably.

I don't think Andy Warhol liked chicks

I like Nickname by the way...at least s/he doesn't talk bollocks about tracks! Better than DrH saying absolutely nothing with that Smilie twatty to55ing rubbish...If you have nothing to say then try and un-install smilies from RP there buddy.....
Actually DrH's comments underneath the bouncing Smilie twa(censored) rubbish are right on. The song IS a take on Oingo Boingo's "Weird Science". The Dandys do this often, and, unapologetically. Take it or leave it. :)

I dig a lot of DW, but this time you're spot-on, NN.
you mean this isn't Oingo Boingo?

I don't really hear a difference between "I am a scientist" and "I wanna be a cowboy".
q-tips can help that.
Cute little ditty. Anybody remember Thomas Dolby?

I like this song alot... but I remember when they used to play the guitars. Really well!
I've heard they're going to release a stoner/guitar version of Welcome to the Monkeyhouse at the beginning of 2004. It maybe through their website only. I guess they've been playing tracks from it at CalSports in Portland. I hope it's true.
While I wish I could root for the home team, I beginning to think this band completely sucks. Third song in two days, and they're all bad, and hopelessly derivative. Derivative isn't always bad, but these people don't seem to have anything new to say. I don't really hear a difference between "I am a scientist" and "I wanna be a cowboy". Thumbs down.
nice! killer base line at the beginning... I like the Dandy's

I AM a scientist and I like this one!

i'm with you on that.
Looks like RP is trying to play as much Dandy Warhols as Audioslave. It's good that I like the sound of both (at least until they're overplayed).

Great. I wanted to go to bed an hour ago, but.. I ... can\'t... stop... listening...
