Wow..just played this very loud !
Happy feet!
This is pretty cool. I would never have guess it was Mark Knopfler.
Woooo Hoooo! I love this song! It makes me want to get a DJ job at a dance club somewhere and play it for all those that are tired of the Britney Spears remixes. That way all those zombies can have fun dancing again.

Hip detectives Seamus Crockett and Ritchie O'Tubbs patrol the mean streets of Ireland's principal city in a kelly-green Ferarri with right-hand drive, busting crooks and drinking Guiness with buxom red-haired girls named Colleen. Music by Mark Knopfler, Clannad, the Chieftains, the Corrs, and the occasional Enya ballad thrown in for variety. Like the song, though.
Dude! Dublin Vice without The Pogues? How could you?
I don't care where artists take their inspiration, so long as they apply their talent well. Certainly the case here. Brilliant.
Rivertrance.

This song will get ANYONE out of their seat! Did a double take when I saw it was Mr. Knopfler. Dancin' a jig!
Did someone else already say Afro Celts without the penny whistle? Something comfy about those trademark Knopfler riffs, enjoyed.
Woo-Hooo! Hard driving foot stomping celtic beats from MK. Yeah!
It's different, but I like it. Rivertechno anyone?

I'd like to see the the Riverdance dancer's try and keep up with this one. :) Not the Knopfler I'm used to, but it's good stuff non-the-less.
Total agreement here. Sounded at first like Knopfler and then sounded not much like his usual music. No surprise to find that it was a piece done for a sound track. Very nice though!

should sound typical irish, but is nothing but kischy. especially the synthie backgrounds are very disturbing. bad track

Riverdance or Lord of the Dance or both :) YES! And catchy! My feet can't stop tappin'

It's the soundtrack to Dublin Vice. Instead of speedboats, cocaine, and pastels, we get wheelbarrows, guinness, and brown.

Sounds like traditional Irish music for speed freeaks.

It's definitely not crap! :)
Oh...certainly not
Reminds me of the 80s tune - "In a Big Country..." Incredibly catchy though...
Mark Knopfler? I'm impressed.

Wond-a-mous! Please to play WILD MTN THYME.
Yikes....
Makes me want to go get a pint....
Reminds me of a group called Mackeel who combine traditional irish/Scottish music and modern instrumentation. The results are really rockin'! It's definitely not crap! :)
Well I feel like a dope. I always admired Mark Knopfler's songs but I didn't know he did soundtracks. Thanks to RPs links I found that he has done several. Including films that I've seen. Thanks again RP.
Who else thinks is awesome! Great tune! I'm grateful for Knoplfer experimenting in this fashion. Taste is in the guy's blood, obviuosly
just 1 comment: no comment. --- Irish herbal treatment, mark?
:D
When is iTunes going to get this song in their library so I can download it? I need instant gratification!!

This song reminds me of the time the Red Sox beat the Yankees four in a row to take the pennant in 2004, then went on to take four in a row from the Cardinals to win their first world series in 86 years... just thought I'd get that in there...
Wow- I'm not a Knopfler fan, but that was really something. And I kept having to remind myself that it was him!
I like it. Can't...stop...feet.
