Good morning honey
Did you sleep okay
It certainly looks as though
It's gonna be a beautiful day
By the way
Can you see that I'm slipping away
Just pass my shirt darling
I can't be late today

Ladahoo
Being alone together
Making talk about the weather
Ladahoo
Being alone together
No this can't go on forever

There's so much work to do
Cleaning up this place
All those souvenirs
Taking up closet space
She stands in the doorway
Hot tears rolling down her face
It don't feel right for her
To be alone around the place

Ladahoo
Being alone together
Making talk about the weather
Ladahoo
Being alone together
No this can't go on forever
Forever
Forever
Oh no no

And my little sister told me
She said I'm better off this way
She said my future's all that matters
And if I'm just a little bit tattered
Still I'm better off
I'm better off this way
I'm better off this way?
She thought I was a hero
Tee hee hee
I thought she was a goddess
Foolish me

Ladahoo
Being alone together
Making talk about the weather
Ladahoo
Being alone together
No this can't go on forever

Excellent album. I have it on vinyl from when it was originally released. Also very much recommend Baerwald's solo albums. Triage is very dark though.
Thought it was Hall&oates at first!

No doubt.  It didn't go on .....  10 years and it was over....

David Baerwald's "Young Anymore" is pretty good, especially if you have a daughter that once took ballet classes :-) Kinda the same heartstrings as Lindsey Buckingham pulls in his song  "Not Too Late", the live version of LB's tune is excellent
I guess I'm in the minority here. This sounds really dated and not very inspired. I like a lot of 80's music, but somehow missed this album. I'll have to sample some other tracks if they're available.
not doing much for me... like processed cheese.

Yes, definite touches of Paul Young here.
Also parts of the bassline reminds me of Monkey Island ;)
Great song. Great vibe.
Oh man, this is one of the BEST albums ever!
Bought it on vinyl when it came out. Gotta listen to it again.
Thanks Bill.
Trivia Alert:  David Baerwald was co-writer of many of the hits on Sheryl Crow's Tuesday Night Music Club album, like Run Baby Run, Leaving Las Vegas, Strong Enough, All I Wanna Do.  Apparently she pretty much screwed him (and the others) over initially claiming to have written them herself.

My sentiments exactly. I spent so much time listening to this when it came out.  Liked the one live show I saw as well
Great, great song.   Side 1 of the album is awesome, Side 2 not so much.

FWIW, for me, this song was a factor in deciding to move to California

Thought I was listening to Darryl Hall there for a sec.
totally incredible album and song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Superb!
David Baerwald, half of this group, still makes albums from time to time.

Doesn't it annoy you when quality like this gets nowhere but so much dross slips through the net?

Then again we always have RP to keep us on the go!

I had it too, but Welcome to the Boomtown is the only song I remember off it.

Wish they'd make another album.....

It sounds like they're singing "Lalla Rookh" between some of the lines. Or maybe I listened to that Fairport Convention song one to many times...
Didn't see that one coming! Thanks Bill!

So far, this song has never been played on RP. It needs to be played!! It's a great song from a great album (it's not my upload, I just have this album on an old yucky cassette).
