Won't you tell me in the morning
Of the kisses that you left me in my sleep

Of all the thunder and the stormin'
Of all the racket in the street

Chorus:
And if the sun should open wide
Your eyes to find another day
And I'll never take you back
If you can't find your own way
If you can't find your own way

I want to tell you in the morning
Of the demons that I killed in my dreams
And should the devil take me now, here's a warnin'
Ah, hell can't come between you and me

Chorus

Chorus

Chorus:
Come on sun shine open wide now
Your eyes to find another day
And I'll never take you back
If you can't find your own way
If you can't find your own way

I wouldn't call myself a "fan" of BHATM but I have 3 albums in heavy rotation. I've NEVER heard this before. They don't have a bad track. Not one.
Yeehaw! TODD! Sounds fine coming in a set not far behind Stevie Ray Vaughan, who Todd used to warm himself up playing back in the day! I just love how that fun twangy bit comes back around just in time as you raise that glass or J to CELEBRATE the jam!

Not today, not today.  I've been dancing for 3 hours straight.

Heard this song and thought: Damn, did Big Head Todd come out with something new.  Hell are they still alive?

Then I saw this is from a 90s album.

Good tune in any case.

Soft rock? Really. Have you ever heard anything other then this? Silly statement.... Especially when it involves the Gin Blossoms.. they were crap then and even worse now...
My head is bobbing like a doll in the backwindshield shelf.  My feet are tap-tap-tapping. Even the dog is up and rockin away.

If I had to choose, I would for sure take the Gin Blossoms as a good representative of a 90s soft rock band, over BHT&TM.

Incredibly boooooooooooring...
music that takes me right back to a time and place - early 90's , Herman's Hideaway..... Anyone live around there?  Does Pasquini's still have those awesome breadsticks?

William, move your head. Look at the size of that head. I'm not kiddin it's like an orange on a toothpick. Well thats a huge noggin, it's a virtual planetoid. Has its own weather system. Head! Move! Head! Paper! Now! Move that melon of yours and get the paper if ya can. Haulin that gargantuan cranium about. I'm not kiddin that boys' head is like Sputnick. Spherical, but quick pointy at parts. He'll be cryin' himself to sleep tonight on his huge pillow...

{#Clap} I too, always think of Mike Myers when I hear BHT

Great warm sky-wide single coil Strat rhythm sound!  I've always loved this song!  {#Bananajam}

Ohhh, Big Head Todd. They're so lame.  Great melodies, fun beat, articulate lyrics... Geez, I hate them.  And of course y'all know I'm kidding. One of my favorite bands, and this song just makes me wanna dance. So - 'scuse me. Gotta go dance now.{#Dancingbanana}
I like in a Grateful Dead sort of way...
I can't help but think of 'Just Wait' by Blues Traveler when I hear this song... also a good song.

bhtm— i am in their fan club. they are the ones that sent me the RP link!! Yep, one of my favorite bands!  {#Bananajam}{#Drummer}  {#Bananajam}{#Dancingbanana_2}

YEEHAW!  One of their best :) that they used to play in my garage back in the day :)

Boy, that was a speedy reply to my request! Thanks so much! They always make my day! {#Dancingbanana_2}
These guys sound like " The Silos" IMO....i like them

God I love these guys. This is one of thier best albums, and the last song on it is just haunting.
I ache to see them live one day...{#Bounce}
Perfect music for "I'm outta here' on a Friday eve.....
Colorado boys!

There still around, often on tour. They just don't get the commercial support and notice they once did during the '90's.
What happened to these guys?

Good ear - that's actually Nick Forster (E-Town, Hot Rize) doing a cameo on slide opposite Todd Park Mohr.
This is one of my favorite all-time albums. Though I don't love every tune, I like to hear it while I'm driving or cleaning house.

I don't know what's more frightening...the fact that I know exactly what song you're talking about, or the fact that now I can hear it... (whimper)...must....find....help.....
Compared to the Veils and Jose Gonzalez preceding them, ol' Big Head sounds really ordinary. Maybe they always sound ordinary ... Nice cover art, though.
Damn, damn fine band.
Good old-fashioned hard-driving rock with killer guitar, bluesy vocals, and steady beat. Always a nice throw into the mix... Thanks, Bill.
this band sounds like The Silos off of said album..
Most excellent gee-tar.
One of my favorite BHTM songs from my favorite of their albums. See them live if you haven't!!
Great band! Thanks for playing some - keep it coming.
What a set! These last four! KUTGW.

does anyone else just find this band boring? I want to like them, since they get a lot of play on RP, but it's just not happening.
Yes

I'd have to disagree,in the case of BHT some of their studio work just was not produced very well (strategem being a perfect example). Recordings like Beautiful World, or Crimes of Passion sound great vs. hearing them live. But I get your point in the fact that BHT is so exceptional on stage, mainly because he is laid back and at ease in front of an audience. A true pleasure to see, it's like a big party.

From a lyrical standpoint, I would be hardpressed to come up with a more intelligent songwriting band than this one. I am so sick of the standard love BS I hear. Thee guys tell a sophisticated story. I ahve all of their albums, and they are a gem amongst the crap out there.
here, here

Agree...boring...and I'm from their hometown.

Yeah, I find them boring. I just don't see what the big deal is. To me they're becoming another Huey Lewis & the News -- or Hootie & the Blowfish. There must be something about bands with these "& the" names.

Here, here. Todd is a great storyteller and only gets better with time. BTW, you're name isn't Vincent is it? (i.e. jerzey ;)

What a GREAT SONG! I used to cover this song in my shows. Very fun song to play live, even if it's only two acoustic guitars. Long live BHT!!
Oh wow! I was hoping to see this on RP one day! This was the opening song in the soundtrack for the movie "Blown Away" and was highly effective! One of my favorite BHT songs, too!
