My oh my
the state of us
wasted to the bone
and the simple truth
of the matter is
just a little close to home

oh she brings me only sorrow
and it's true
we've seen better days
there'll be hell to pay
for this tomorrow
but I'll stay awhile
if it's all the same

tender hooks
that I'm hanging on
waiting for so long
at the water's edge
and it's tempting me
to drift off out of here

oh she brings me only sorrow
and it's true
we've seen better days
there'll be hell to pay
for this tomorrow
but I'll stay awhile
if it's all the same

oh she brings me only sorrow
but I'll stay awhile
if it's all the same

like a moth drawn to the flames
I can feel it in my veins
I'm unsteady on my legs...

So when I like a hook or a new sound on RP, I log in to check and give a good rating.  Like for this one which definitely sets the mood.
One day, I will post before Dr RT / Mr. Lazarus.
Everybody in my homeless camps loves this song...

What's Courtney Love have to with this.  {#Mrgreen}

Yes!
This is Richard Ashcroft right?!
I like it. Thanks RP for turning me on to this band.

Beautiful art work on the cover....nice song.

Gotta agree with bluecshells.
This struck me as a borderline 6 tune, so what.
Beautiful art work on the cover....nice song.

Song is much better than the chattering masses give it credit for.

absolutely.  this song is pretty nice.

This sounds like a (bad) demo that could never manage to go anywhere.

Very nice . . .

meh
quite likeable - vocalist reminds me of Kevin Montgomery
A sleeper w/ loud snoring to cover the sound please. Like the cover art though.
Rubyhorse is a pretty gnarly name...they got that going for them......
Bono's got a new band??
How bizarre. I saw this band open for Jump, Little Children several years ago and figured they'd fade back into complete obscurity (where they belong). It's not that they're bad. They're just too... U2.

We all do. And yet sometimes we don't choose it...

It's kinda like the blues give me the blues. This really doesn't give me sorrow, though.
I don't want sorrow. I want happiness.
I think this is terrific.
The girl in the cover reminds me of Natalie Portman.
I like it, but somehow it feels unfinished to me.
I like the message, as I feel the same at the moment. Found myself a new song what I like. Again thanks Bill and RP for making my life so much better .
Voice is reminiscent of Neil Finn. Why, I wonder... Is it just the accent? What else is it... The image on the album cover looks like a fetus in a womb -
Lots of strong emotion in this wonderful atmospheric song.

There's just something really cool about their voices, the production, even, strangely ,the picture on the album cover. Just me , but she looks like she is enjoying a REALLY good caramel. Yeah.
That is very funny!
SHUT UP ALREADY!

Is it just me, or does this sound too much like Coldplay's clocks but with guitars?
I don't hear it...fortunately (I don't care for Coldplay at all). I like this song quite a bit.

Great assessment. I thought it might be U-2 before I looked at the credits.
I like it! Also, the playlist has been great this morning. Thanks for making my Friday start off right.

I have this and Rise, and I have to say that the latter gets a lot more play. Very different albums, though both are decent.

Second tune I have heard from these cats. And the second tune I have liked. Might have to buy another CD soon.
Agreed. Just ordered mine from Amazon yesterday :-)
Very good album. The cuts are a little raw and at times some songs sound like they're recorded at different times. But that doesn't bother me because the musicianship is outstanding. I've seen these guys live and they ARE very good.
Hey! I'm getting first comme...oh. Cow's been flung.
