You can close your eyes it's over now.
It's over now,
You can close your eyes it's over.

Baby, baby, baby,
Make a wish.
Tell me have, you ever been afraid like this?
(It's over now)

I've seen it watching me,
That misty thing,
Without a face.
It weaves my thoughts,
Lined them up in black lace.
It buries my shape,
And leaves no trace.

Tomorrow I will have no shame,
And I will start again.
Make a wish.
Tell me have, you ever felt alone like this.
(Over now)

Better do it sure.
Just wishing,
I could move in some more.

Tomorrow I will have no shame,
And I will start again.
Make a wish.
(You can close your eyes it's over now)
Baby I, have never been afraid like this.
(You can close your eyes it's over now)
Make a wish.

I took off my shoes,
I took off my face,
And then I undid, the buttons on my dress.
(I will start again)

Make a wish.
(You can close your eyes it's over now)
Tell me have, you ever been exposed like this?
(You can look into your mind)
Baby, baby, baby,
Feels like a kiss.
(You can close your eyes and start again)
I bet, you never thought that I could feel like this

Tomorrow I will have no shame.
Tomorrow I will have no shame.
Make a wish.

Such a pleasant mellow tune.
Anyone else thought at first this was Sarah McLachlan singing?
Always liked her voice, I wouldn't hate to see something new from her.

Like everything in nature, a voice is governed by the laws of physics.   There is inherit beauty in that.  That is what he is getting at.   It is similar to how particular brush strokes contribute to and affect a painting.

Poe must have some pretty nice nasal cavities.
Great Album! Don't miss the second one - "Extraordinary Ways".

In addition to being a guy absolutely smitten by Poe's voice, I am a professional engineer with a practice over 30 years.  So I have to ask, what makes her voice so ... unique?

Length and diameter of vocal cords, their inherent tension in her throat, the shape and toughness of her larynx?  The size of her throat, sinus cavities, and nasal passages to resonate at specific frequencies?  Her diaphragm and abdominals that push air volumes?  Set and setting, lyrical content and style are also factors, as are my own experiences to date, I realize.

For me, this is actually an enhancement to the enchantment.  And enchanting is what she is.

That's all I want for 2016. Skip the election - BRING BACK POE!!!!

Please. Conjure One's is far more phallic.

LOL! Good call ;)

Sorry, but I think this is subpar... A rare case of a cheesy tune making it to RP!

I agree. Goes in the category of 1990's style so-whatness.
Something about that fem vocal of Poe… don't hear this track enough...

I deleted my previous post!

Now I really DO NOT LIKE this!

I'm with ya, Dirk. But this is warmer, healthier and more emotional than DP.

I think that cover's been done before.

I've always loved Anne's voice...she knows exactly what types of songs to sing for her style. I miss Poe's albums...

Sad subject. Read the wiki page. Her music rights, even for new music and simply for performance, were trapped in legal/bankruptcy limbo for years. She could not legally make a living in music.  Fking tragic.

All free now, tho'. The Day of Jubilee!

 I think the same

Bill plays these songs with these artists that come and go, and man, I am confused! {#Eek}

Apparently, she's been involved in ongoing legal battles with her (former?) label.

Wow does anyone have a sexier voice than Poe? Outstanding, this!

It is an emotional, evocative and often dangerously erotic (as in Hey Pretty) voice, and one I never tire of hearing. Poe is a lovely singer, whom I'd never have heard of if not for RP, and she goes well with the chill-out electronica of Conjure One. I certainly look forward to her next CD, however long it takes to arrive. 8 from the Nottingham jury.

There's some pretty good stuff on this CD. It's well worth checking out.

Unmistakenly POE. Right on.

Yeah that's Poe singing. I love this album. Good choice!

Whoops. You must have meant Christine McVie. Right band, wrong lead singer. From today's crop, I pick Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy. Mmmmmm.

I think Bjork has a sexier voice than Poe but in a different kind of way. Poe's voice is deep and sultry. Bjork has a voice that just knocks me on my ass every time.

Man, did Poe sing on every song on this album?
I wish she had, but, alas, no.
I really like Conjur One. Rys Fulber is half of the band Delerium, one of my favorite electronica bands. If i remember right, Rys started with Delerium when he was 16. Conjur One was his solo project to prove to himself that he could make it on his own. There are a couple of other songs on this album that are also exceptional.
Poe makes my Special Purpose feel funny. An 8 for this song.
I'd be her freak. Any day.

Hmm... same four songs in the same order today as well. I guess I'm a little disappointed that we are most likely listening to a canned tape of music.
Oh this is hardly canned. Have you ever tried to program the music for a day? Jeeze I have. I would get tired of radio or Launchcast, and try to put together an interesting playlist (and yes I have fairly deep resources) for an 8 hour day, but MAN it is a hard thing to do. And keep it fresh and interesting? Bill has a real talent for it. Day after day, 24/7! I am amazed. I am not surprised that he has found good combinations that work together, and has kept them together. Brilliant job and my hat (and money) to you, Bill!

There are only two albums, and she's on each, so, I guess the answer is yes.

Yeah, I hafta agree... it's a little on the boring side. I like Poe but I can't say anything about this song thrills me.
