Sun bakes
The window makes
The sheets hot and wet
At night they're cold and blue
Why do I like you?
'Cause I do
Why do I like you?
'Cause I'd kill to be you

Sweet nothing
Sweet dreams
Serene
Sweet nothing
Sweet Dreams
Serene

Dancing with scissors
Our bones full of wishes
We wait for our plans to come true
Why do I like you?
'Cause I do
Why do I like you?
'Cause I'd kill to be you

Sweet nothing
Sweet dreams
Serene
Sweet nothing
Sweet dreams
Serene

We fill each other's arms
You wanna wish higher
You wanna live higher
Lose control

If you're in the ballpark
Then you can play the game
You know you know the rules
Why do I like you?
'Cause I do
I like you
'Cause I'm thrilled to be here

Sweet nothing
Sweet dreams
Serene
Sweet nothing
Sweet dreams
Serene

Is there any way to rescue them from this mess?

I like the strings....
The lyrics are grating, she is trying TOO hard to be carefree and whimsical.
This is an emotionally charged song that is powerful and real to me. Dianyla wrote:

Being an Interpol fan, what is said isn't always as important as how it's said. Throwing Muses and Interpol sing wonderfully, in their own melancholy way. 40 lashes!

The singer sounds a little like the singer from DaVinyls... is she australian? I'm hearing a little accent.

My initial impression of this song was that I didn't like it. But after listening longer...I find the opposite is true. Quite good actually...I think it is the hook that catches me. An 8?
