Lost touch with Bruce after The River. Love his recent, roots, stuff - the Boss, as I remember, and now all growed up. This song from '92? '94? is surprisingly good, never heard it before, thanks Bill.

I was not a fan of Bruce until I saw him solo on the Devils and Dust tour. Wow. I saw Blues Traveler live for the first time last summer too, and I'm still not a fan of BT.

This was my wedding song and it's just a damned fine, timeless love song. On the E Street Band reunion tour he transformed into a sublime testament to friendship with pared down instrumentation and everyone taking a line or two, coming together in a gospel chorus at the end. Maybe the best Bruce song most people ain't never heard. TJ

I had to go check, too. Yes, Bruce wrote it all right, but I so love it when Faith sings it. Of course Faith can yank my heart right out of my chest when she sings most of her stuff (haven't listened to her latest, though) whereas Bruce just wants to make me yak and change the channel. Which proves, rather conclusively I dare say, that it takes a lot more than just song writing to make a song great. But thanks for the song Bruce. With all the covers that fly around here, I think Faith's rendition would be very well placed here. For some reason, though, I don't think that likely.
