reminds me of some hard changes I was going through in the mid 90's and part of an album I listened to extensively. On that nostalgia note its a 6 but if I was hearing this for the first time today I would probably give it a 2 or 3.

It reminds me of that Pop-Beethoven/Pop-Bach junk that came out in the 90's. (Or was it the 80's?) Sometimes music of that sort (folk+new age or classical+rock, etc.) comes out fine, sometimes not. On this piece, I would agree with you Huebdoo.
A lot of y'alls comments are valid, but have you ever stood in a real rain forest, and listened to deep forest (or some other organic nature/techno group...)? It actually works...I've tried it.
Yikes! The man who invented the mute button should be considered a national hero!
Very Nice ,,, OScar
Annoying at many levels
What's with the ultra-futuristic metallic synths in an otherwise organic composition?

Imagine my delight, while listening to Radio Paradise, and on comes Marta Sebestyen. Yummy. But then, I have a history with Hungarian music and Marta in particular, but this strikes just the right note for me. Sorry everyone else seems to hate it so much... :(
Not exactly nauseating, in much the same way that poison ivy exposure is not exactly a burn...
I get a bit disapointed because I hear the beginning of something from "The Pillow Book". This is good, but not as good as the music from that film.

Thanks for the suggestion!!

You know, these trance acts are all about "organic", "tribal" and "back to nature", but their music is anything but natural or organic. Preprogrammed dreck that any idiot with a Mac and Garage Band can churn out at the click of a mouse button.

I keep fluctuating between a 1 and a 6, depending on where we are in the song. I must have a weakness for aboriginal Japanese trance music.
Marta can keep her song as far as I'm concerned. I don't want it.

This is the second Deep Forest song I've heard on RP, and I am now convinced that they have kidnapped the crazy yodeling guy from Enigma.
Or the crazy yodelling gal from the Cranberries, which just preceded this. Another inspired segue!
"Circle the wagons!!!"
Wow, this is garbage.

I think I read somewhere that both these groups (and others too), sampled from the same bunch of pygmies that have a unique vocal tradition. Deep Forest has also used indigenous African voices as well so I'm not sure which this is.

All the pieces are there for a great song, but it seems they weren't quite bolted together right. Needs to go back to the shop for some warranty work.
Deep Forest is amazing, especially on their older albums.
A little too out there for my tastes.
I heard Marta Sebastyen a decade ago. This is a wonderful song -- I like the interweaving of voice and music.
