Are you alone now
Did you lose the monkey
He gave you backaches
And now you slouch
He didn't mean it
He's just a dumb ape
Reading Playboy
On your couch
And now it's time to say
What I forgot to say
Baby,baby,baby
Come on, what's wrong?
It's a radiation vibe
I'm groovin on
Don't it make you want to get some sun?
Shine on, shine on, shine on
I went to Pittsburgh
And joined a pro team
Talk about a bad dream
I broke a knee
But I can still croon
And make the girls swoon
Isn't that the way life's
Supposed to be?
But now it's time to say
What I forgot to say
Baby, baby, baby
Come on, what's wrong?
It's a radiation vibe
I'm groovin on
Don't it make you want to get some sun?
Shine on, shine on, shine on
Shine on, shine on, shine on
And now it's time to say
What I forgot to say
Baby, baby, baby
Come on, what's wrong?
It's a radiation vibe
I'm groovin'
on
Don't it make you want to get some sun?
Shine on, shine on, shine on

Thank you Bill & Rebecca. 10
This voice + PSD.
On my list of songs where I prefer the cover version that RP also plays.
Unfortunately the Fountains of Wayne store in NJ closed a few years ago....a very unique place to browse

What imaginative lyrics ! sucko Barfo, complete and utter rubbish. "The Beeb" could write better Lyric's.

I'm really glad to hear these guys on RP. It's not their fault every top 40 radio station played Stacy's Mom on repeat. They have some really catchy and fun tunes.

I still have not forgiven the band for "Stacy's Mom"

Clever Bill, following Counting Crows with Fountains of Wayne. One must presume you know of Adam's past inclusion of this very song in alternate live versions of Crows songs. To be honest I prefer Adam's version, but this is a decent song nonetheless.
Oh dear, I hope this doesn't make me look like a rabid Counting Crows fan. It's been a long time since I've been a regular listener, but I still remember my "rabid" days...

Come on, how can you not love a band that names itself after a gift shop in New Jersey?
what a fun song.

I kind of like blunt guitars though. At least my brain stem does
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeird. I was JUST thinking of this song this morning.

Red Dragon Tattoo ("It's just about on me") is a TOTAL homage to Wings. Great stuff.

Are these the idiots who are responsible for the Malcomb in the Middle song I used to see on promo ads?
That would be They Might Be Giants (TMBG) and that band is great (see Flood). This however is lame.
Hem Cover = 8
FoW version = 7

these guys are great- go see them live... I think they're still on their current tour. I'm too lazy to check Pollstar right now.
I once thought there was nothing more to this band than "Stacy's Mom". Now they're among my favorites.
I love the way these talented guys tap into the old Cars and Cheap Trick catchy energy and give us feel-good sing-alongs, without which life is, well, a bit gloomier. Radiation Vibe -- come on shine on!

Hem is the artist who played just a few songs ago. And I think RP has Hem's version of this song in its playlist.

Fountains of Wayne rules so much. Is Red Dragon Tattoo uploaded? I should do it if it isn't.

dangit. The one Fountains of Wayne song I like and I had to miss it for a phone call...
I just have a feeling this will be trounced and played too infrequently. But Bill, any time you consider playing that cover version, consider playing this instead, k?
F of W are always good to lift a mood.
What a fun song.
Yee-HAAAAAAAAA!!! INSTA-UPLOAD!!!!
